Autism Travel Specialist

I am a Certified Autism Travel Professional (CATP) through IBCCES and am dedicated to helping families and individuals experience the joy of travel together. I believe travel should feel exciting—not overwhelming—and I work closely with each client to understand their unique needs, preferences, and comfort levels. My goal is to provide the tools, resources, and thoughtful planning needed so you can approach your trip feeling confident, prepared, and supported.

I assist with identifying autism-certified travel partners, researching sensory-friendly experiences, reviewing menus and dining options, and anticipating potential challenges before you arrive. I’m happy to take on the detailed research so families can focus on enjoying their time together. While my specialty is supporting autistic travelers, the strategies and planning approaches I use also support other neurodivergent individuals and travelers with a wide range of accommodation needs.

My professional background is in education as an elementary and middle school teacher. Through my work in schools, I supported many students with autism and other learning differences. This experience reinforced my belief that while similarities may exist, every individual is unique. Successful travel depends on personalized planning that honors those differences and creates a plan tailored to the traveler.

In addition to my professional experience, my passion for accessible travel is deeply personal. I have traveled extensively with my brother, Ray, who has a disability that affects him in a variety of ways. He experiences significant anxiety when away from home and finds many aspects of travel challenging, including airport security, navigating different forms of transportation, and waiting in lines. Traveling with him has given me firsthand experience supporting someone who needs accommodations in order to truly enjoy travel.These experiences have shaped how I plan travel for my clients. I understand how overwhelming unfamiliar environments, changes in routine, and sensory demands can be, and how meaningful preparation and flexibility are to a successful trip. I apply this understanding when helping clients develop personalized travel plans that prioritize comfort, confidence, and enjoyment.
