It all began in May 2022, aboard Oasis of the Seas, where two strangers from different worlds—one from the United States, the other from Canada—found themselves in the middle of the ocean, unknowingly about to set sail on the greatest adventure of their lives.For me, cruising had always been second nature. I had been traveling since childhood, and there was no experience quite like being on the open sea. This time, I had convinced my friends to join me so they could finally see what all the hype was about. My fiancé, on the other hand, was a first-timer—completely new to the world of cruising, stepping aboard with no idea that his life was about to change forever.We met on the first night, in the casino of all places. A chance encounter, a spark, and just like that, we were inseparable. It felt surreal—two people, from different countries, meeting in the middle of the ocean, falling into something so effortless, so unexpected. Never in a million years did we think we’d find the love of our lives on a cruise ship.But the story didn’t end when the cruise did. Far from it.Since that fateful voyage, we’ve set sail together four more times, each trip weaving us closer together, each adventure making the distance between our two countries feel smaller and smaller. And then, in 2024, aboard one of our cruises, it happened—he proposed. Right there on the ship, in the place where it all began, our love story reached a new chapter.Now, both Oasis of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas hold an irreplaceable place in our hearts. But we couldn’t just leave our story there—we had to bring it full circle.So in May 2026, on the exact same week we met, we will say “I do” aboard Oasis of the Seas.
