Ocean cruising has been a significant part of my travel career and personal exploration of the world. I have spent hundreds of days at sea sailing with numerous cruise lines to destinations including Antarctica, Europe, the Baltics, the Caribbean, Asia, and many other remarkable regions across the globe.These experiences have allowed me to understand firsthand the many styles of ocean cruising, from expedition voyages in remote destinations to classic cultural itineraries throughout Europe and beyond. Sailing to places like Antarctica is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, while voyages through the Baltic and Mediterranean offer incredible access to history, art, and architecture. Caribbean sailings provide a perfect blend of relaxation and tropical beauty, while Asian itineraries offer rich cultural immersion and diverse landscapes. Throughout my travels, I have sailed in a variety of accommodations ranging from comfortable staterooms to luxurious suites, both with and without butler service. Experiencing these different levels of comfort and service has given me valuable insight into what each cruise line offers and how travelers can best match their preferences, expectations, and travel style with the right cruise experience.Spending so much time at sea has allowed me to fully appreciate the unique rhythm of ocean cruising, the ability to unpack once, relax, and wake up in a new destination each day while enjoying exceptional service, dining, and on board experiences.
