About Me

Groups Bring Joy
Groups Bring Joy

Group travel is one of my favorite things to plan. There is nothing quite like watching a group of people — friends, family, colleagues, church members — share an experience that bonds them for life. I've been curating group trips for decades, and I can tell you with complete confidence that the right trip, planned the right way, is absolutely worth every bit of effort.

But here's what I tell every group organizer in our very first conversation: not all group travel works the same way, and understanding the differences could save you thousands of dollars and a whole lot of heartache.

Cruises: The Most Forgiving Option If you're organizing a group and you're not 100% sure everyone will follow through — and let's be honest, that's most groups — a cruise is your safest starting point. I can reserve fifteen cabins without any financial commitment to fill them all. Eight months later, if you've only confirmed eight cabins or five, no problem. Remaining guests aren't penalized with higher prices, and you're not on the hook for unsold cabins. That flexibility is genuinely rare in group travel. Add in the exclusive amenities I negotiate — onboard credits, private events, priority boarding — and a group cruise becomes one of the best values in travel, period.

All-Inclusives: Amazing, But Read the Fine Print All-inclusive resorts are a dream for groups who want everything in one place — meals, drinks, entertainment — without anyone watching the bill. I've stayed at properties across Mexico, the Caribbean, and Costa Rica, so I know which ones are actually worth it for groups. But I have to be straight with you: all-inclusive group bookings come with contracts, and those contracts have teeth. Fall below your committed room count and you could face financial penalties — or the contract gets voided entirely. Rebooking at that point means paying current rates, which are almost always higher than what you originally locked in. I walk through all of this with you before you sign anything, because the last thing I want is for your dream trip to become a financial headache.

Villas: Incredible Experience, Real Commitment Required A private villa can be the most spectacular group experience of all — your own space, your own schedule, a level of privacy no hotel can match. But villas require the right group. If you book a six-bedroom villa and two people back out, the remaining guests absorb that cost — and depending on the villa, that increase can be significant. Villas work beautifully when your group is made up of people who will honor their financial commitment even if life gets in the way and they can't make the trip. When that's your group, a villa is magic. When it's not, it can get complicated fast.

Why This Conversation Matters I share all of this upfront because informed travelers make better decisions — and better decisions make better trips. My job isn't just to book travel. It's to make sure you understand exactly what you're getting into, what your risks are, and how to protect everyone in your group from the scenarios that catch people off guard.

As one of only six KHM Travel Hall of Fame inductees, a KHM Pinnacle Agent, and a member of both the KHM Travel Advisory Board and the Northstar Black Travel Advisory Board, I've spent decades building expertise and supplier relationships that work directly in your favor. When something unexpected happens — and in group travel, it sometimes does — you want someone in your corner who has seen it before and knows exactly what to do.

Group travel is one of life's greatest joys. Let me make sure yours goes exactly the way you imagined.

The Best Trip and Peace of Mind!
Reviewed By ROBBIN - Atlanta | Traveled to Dubai ~ United Arab Emirates ~ Middle East
Working with Laurence for our Dubai trip was pure excellence! During our stay in Dubai, my mobile phone wasn't working correctly, I reached out to Laurence to confirm our flight and excursions - he took care of EVERYTHING from the other side while we were able to continue to enjoy our first experience in Dubai.

I have experienced other travel agents, but none that went above and beyond to make sure we arrived safely, to check if we needed anything else, and to confirm our safe arrival back home. He is MY travel agent and would refer him to ANYONE for ANY trip/travel.

This is my 3rd time traveling with Laurence and he as never failed me and my groups. He is so organized and definitely knows what he is doing. His experience shines in every aspect of his work. It is very clear when your dealing with Laurence, that he is not new to this. His experience, and eye for details when it comes to traveling is worth more than you can imagine. Laurence always seems to be one step a head of you and that's priceless.

Laurence and Annie,
Just a quick note of appreciation to let you know how much I enjoyed Spring Fling!I know it took a lot of planning and hard work to make it happen. My favorite was Capetown. It was not what I expected, so clean and beautiful. I liked the hotel and their friendly staff. Excellent driver and guide. Their tips should be doubled. Robbens Island was a dream come true Dinner at GOLD is worth a return trip. Thank you!
The wineries were absolutely outstanding. As I was researching, I realized just how much South Africa is known for it’s wine. So glad a tour was offered.
Even though the tour of the township was heart wrenching we needed to see it. Table mountain, the safari and all the sightseeing was fascinating.
Please tell the next group about Willoughby & Co. restaurant in the wharf mall. Excellent food and the hotel shuttle drops you off at the entrance.. Friendly people. They even have Black African sushi chefs.
Thanks again, for a wonderful experience.
