Here are a couple of featured tours worthy of a closer look.

Sydney Harbor
Sydney

14-Night True Blue Australia

Travel around coastal cities, vast lands of copper-tinged desert and lush waterfalls. Enjoy three nights’ accommodations in Sydney, where you and a small group will tour sights such as the Opera House, a cruise around the harbor, and a promenade of the cityscape. Next, experience the sublime starkness of Red Centre for the next three nights, with tours of the massive Uluru a.k.a. Ayers Rock, the stone formations of Kata Tjuta and the arid beauty of Kings Canyon. Afterward you’ll head to Darwin, capital of the Northern Territory, for two nights’ accommodations, where you’ll enjoy the city’s parks, museums and galleries.

This is followed by an evening at Kakadu National Park, renowned for its vivid flora, fauna and refreshing waterfalls; this segment also includes a Yellow Waters Tour and a Guluyambi Cultural cruise. Keep an eye out for crocodiles — so adorable! After Kakadu, travel to Cairns for two nights’ accommodations, with days spent cruising the Great Barrier Reef and a ride on the Kuranda Scenic Railway.

On the final leg of your journey, you’ll arrive in Melbourne for three nights’ accommodations. Take a walking tour of Lanes & Arcades, for an eclectic assembly of quirky cafes, specialty retailers, street art and historic tales. Oh, and join the Koalas and Kangaroo in the Wild tour for a truly signature Aussie experience.

New Zealand
Oneroa Bay

9-Night Escape to New Zealand

Located 2,587 miles southeast of Australia, New Zealand is a world of different landscapes, climates and cultures from those of her Aussie neighbor, but that common link of the foreign and familiar also rings true. Let Down Under Answers take you on a 9-Night Escape to New Zealand for a better appreciation of Kiwi hospitality.

Start your vacation with a visit to Waiheke Island for two nights at the Boatshed Seaside Boutique Hotel. Enjoy the turquoise waters of Oneroa Bay, along with a private gourmet food and wine tour and roundtrip helicopter transfers.

Next you’ll travel to Rotorua, on New Zealand’s North Island, renowned for its geothermal activity and Maori culture. Stay two nights at the Black Swan Lakeside Boutique Hotel and have a traditional Maori experience with hangi dinner — a traditional culinary method were meats and root vegetables are cooked in a pit by burying the food with heated rocks. Trip includes roundtrip airport transfers.

On the lower east coast of the North Island is the city of Napier, where you’ll stay two nights nearby at the Farm at Cape Kidnappers. This seaside location is a private 6,000-acre farm surrounded by rolling pasturelands, overlooking Hawkes Bay. Trip includes roundtrip airport transfers.

Finally, travel to Queenstown, located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu on the South Island. Spend two nights at the Matakauri Lodge, where you’ll have a cinematic view of the stunning Southern Alps. Later on, observe the mountains’ full glory by way of a Milford Sound flight, and then a nature cruise on the lake. This trip also includes roundtrip airport transfers.

So whether you decide to travel to Australia or New Zealand, let Down Under Answers guide you to this astonishing region.
