What our team loved most: The 80’s themed group fitness class was a fun, Richard Simmons-esque workout where people actually came dressed up and ready.

Being an exclusively adult cruise line, Virgin Voyages is able to focus their entertainment on board, both during the day and at night, to their target Sailors without the need to censor. They bring an edgier element to their entertainment in a “because we can” way, without being excessive. For example, their Scarlet Night party takes over the entire ship beginning earlier in the evening and going well past midnight (for those who like to stay out late). This event brings you to multiple parts of the ship to enjoy the evening at your own pace with a lively cast, great music, themed décor and pool party comparable to a high-end event in Las Vegas.
What our team loved most: Even though the parties felt like an exclusive VIP-style event, everyone was welcome. It was inclusively exclusive. And nearly everyone dressed up and got into the theme of each party.

There was not one food item during the entire cruise that was not amazing, and it’s all included in your fare. The smaller venues mean Sailors can choose from more options without having to wait in line or sit in a massive main dining room. They cook to order — whether it’s elevated Mexican at Pink Agave, lively Korean BBQ at Gunbae or bespoke, made-to-order pizzas at The Pizza Place, each venue offers a unique, and decadent, experience. Also, vegetarian and vegan items are not made as an afterthought. They’re prepared with the same level of culinary passion as every other dish. Virgin Voyages is very inclusive when it comes to dining, and anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions will find more than enough dining venues and menu items to keep their cruise vacation fresh and varied.
What our team loved most: Two restaurants had brunch every day of the cruise. Brunch at the Razzle Dazzle was amazing, though it was surprising that not everyone on board knew about it.

On a traditional cruise, a cruise director makes announcements over a loudspeaker. Virgin Voyages threw out the rule book and introduced the 12-member Happenings cast. Their roles? Bringing their unique passions to life all throughout the ship – the happenings cast makes it happen aboard Virgin Voyages. Sailors will find these cast members all over the ship, engaging, informing and sometimes performing what they have going on that day (or night). The Foodie is your go-to for where to eat and drink while on the cruise. Then you have the Hype, who’s dedicated to spreading energy and excitement. The Artist leads activities like crafting and paint-and-sips, along with others who specialize in health and fitness, music, magic, games … they even have a resident drag queen (the Diva).
What our team loved most: The Foodie was the one who gave us the best tips — we wouldn’t have known about brunch without him.
