When you’re not out and about exploring port cities and partaking in exciting excursions or living it up at the pool or the arcade, the ship still provides plenty of opportunities for quality family time. Family meals are a breeze (even with the pickiest eaters) when you have such a diverse array of dining options — Italian, French, Mexican, American, seafood, sushi and barbeque are all on the menu, not to mention the tried-and-true buffet. After-dinner entertainment is hands-on, as you’ll be able to watch (and if you’re picked out of the audience, potentially play!) “The Price is Right” or “Deal or No Deal.”

Young Kids

All ages can find a splashing good time at the Aqua Park onboard Norwegian Escape.

Your youngest globetrotters will be sure to enjoy exploring the ship’s many onboard amenities — but perhaps some are more ideal than others. Never fear, age-appropriate options are ready and waiting. For those looking to leave their kids in capable hands, Splash Academy serves as a complimentary kids club for children ranging from 3 to 12 years old, providing a fun-packed experience for any age.

• Guppies (6 months to 3 years old) can enjoy quality fun and games with their parents in a specific room. Also, once or twice a day, youth staff will lead activities and games for parents and their kids to enjoy together! For parents looking to drop their kids off while they embark on their own adventure, the Guppies Nursery is available for a fee.
• Turtles (3 to 6 years old) are the youngest age bracket in Splash Academy, where they can take part in activities such as storytelling, treasure hunts and arts and crafts.
• Seals (6 to 9 years old) is where screen time makes its debut, with Wii and Playstation consoles. Additionally, kids can also expect to enjoy sports and games.
• Dolphins (10 to 12 years old), AKA the oldest kids in Splash Academy, can dive into adventure with themed nights, scavenger hunts and sports and video game competitions.

Alternatively, the Aqua Park is your one-stop-shop for making memories with your kids. Any Breakaway Class ship sports five multi-story waterslides, each promising varying levels of thrilling speed, while the Norwegian Epic sports a tropical-themed pool perfect for fun in the sun.
