Cruising with Peace of Mind

In years past, the main thing you had to worry about when booking a vacation was the weather. Times have changed. COVID-19 and the subsequent quarantine has forced many businesses to reevaluate their safety protocols and alter their cancellation policies in order to regain the public’s trust. Thankfully, some cruise lines are rising to occasion.

Norwegian Cruise Line understands that the health, safety and comfort of their guests and crew are of paramount importance. And even though they already had a robust health and safety practice in place pre-COVID, they have worked closely with the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) to amp up their measures and create a cruising environment that instills the ultimate peace of mind.

Fresh air is always available on your private balcony

They started with the very air you breathe on board, installing medical-grade air-filters, H13 HEPA, that remove 99.95% of airborne pathogens across their entire fleet. And while nothing can replace the fresh, ocean air wafting over your balcony, the air inside the hallways will now come a close second.

Next, Norwegian changed their boarding processes. All guests will undergo an enhanced pre-embarkation health screening, and all crew will undergo extensive screening prior to embarkation. Touchless temperature checks and continuous monitoring throughout the voyage will help identify potential health issues, offering an additional layer of prevention and protection.

Norwegian is taking extra care to clean and sanatize

Also monitored throughout the voyage will be every touchable surface on board. All ships will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to your voyage, and all staterooms, suites and public areas will be cleaned, sanitized and disinfected frequently.

Additional safety precautions Norwegian will undertake include reduced guest capacity to ensure social distancing, enhanced medical resources and testing kits, and visits to only safe, open ports of call.

Heightened safety measures are just one part of Norwegian’s commitment to providing peace of mind. Thanks to their flexible cancellation policy, for all cruises through November 30, you can cancel up to 48 hours prior to your vacation start date and receive a Future Cruise Credit, or a refund if canceling outside of 120 days. For all cruises December 1 and beyond, you can cancel for a full refund up to 120 days before your cruise.
