Four distinctive resorts reveal just how many ways there are to experience the islands. There is no single version of Hawai'i. A stay can put you at the heart of Waikiki's history, bring a playful new energy to days on Maui, offer the privacy of an oceanfront villa or revisit one of the islands' great resorts after a remarkable transformation. Across Hawai'i, Marriott's portfolio offers distinctly different ways to settle into island life. The setting may begin with sand, sea and sunshine, but look closer and each experience has its own story to tell.
Four Resorts. Four Perspectives.
Culture, recreation, privacy and a renewed icon give each of these resorts a character all its own. Together, they offer a compelling reason to experience Hawai'i again, perhaps a little differently this time.

Mauna Kea Beach Hotel

Luau lei at The Royal Hawaiian
The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, Waikiki
Few hotels are as instantly recognizable as Waikiki's "Pink Palace of the Pacific." Open since 1927, The Royal Hawaiian pairs its storied beachfront setting with experiences that keep Hawaiian culture firmly at the heart of a stay.
Aha'aina, the resort's oceanfront lu'au, brings that connection to life as the sun sets over Waikiki Beach. Guests are welcomed with a cocktail before taking part in traditions including kapa making and poi pounding, followed by a three-course dinner and a performance sharing the story of Helumoa, the historic land on which the resort stands. Elsewhere, the original Mai Tai Bar, Royal Hawaiian Bakery and pink umbrellas lining the private beach offer their own enduring pieces of the Pink Palace experience.
The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Ka'anapali
At The Westin Maui, island time has room for a little friendly competition. The Valley Alley introduces a dynamic social space where duckpin bowling, Topgolf Swing Suites, immersive virtual reality and arcade games offer an entirely different way to spend an afternoon or evening in Ka'anapali. Food and drinks make it as easy to settle in and socialize as it is to play.
For guests looking for a more exclusive experience, the resort's Hokupa'a accommodations offer another perspective on the Westin Maui stay, creating a balance between the energy of the resort and a more private retreat.
Wailea Beach Resort, Marriott, Maui
Wailea Beach Resort makes a strong case for having a little more space to call your own. Its Oceanfront Villas bring a residential feel to Maui, giving guests greater privacy while keeping the experiences of the resort close at hand.
The resort's pool collection adds another dimension to days spent by the water, including 'Olakino, an adults-focused wellness experience. The result is a stay that leaves plenty of room to set your own pace, particularly appealing for travelers who appreciate the independence and space of a villa alongside the services of a resort.
Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Autograph Collection
Sixty years after opening on Hawai'i Island's Kohala Coast, Mauna Kea Beach Hotel has completed the most extensive transformation in its history. The $180+ million renovation touches nearly every part of the resort, including all 252 guestrooms and suites, two pools, dining venues and the celebrated Mauna Kea Golf Course, redesigned by Robert Trent Jones Jr.
What remains is just as important. Original terrazzo floors, the Main Lobby's signature blue tile and expansive lanais preserve elements of Laurance S. Rockefeller's original vision, while restored works from the Rockefeller Art Collection, Hawaiian textiles and pieces by local artists connect the renewed interiors to the islands. The resort has also introduced a 28,000-square-foot Ulu Garden, which supplies local and seasonal ingredients to Manta's garden-to-table menu, along with expanded wellness experiences overlooking Kauna'oa Bay.
Find Your Hawai'i
There's a reason Hawai'i remains one of travel's great constants. It continues to evolve without losing sight of what made it extraordinary in the first place. And that makes returning feel every bit as rewarding as arriving for the first time.
