The saying "I am not from Texas but I got here as fast as I could", applies to me. I guess I just took the scenic route. I was born and raised in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Growing up in Europe has it's advantages. Plenty of things to see, different countries, new cultures only a short flight away. I have such great memories of the different trips my parents took me on. Our trips included France, Czech Republic, Germany, Spain and more! I loved visiting the Eiffel Tower and going on a Seine river cruise while in Paris. In the Czech-Republic I have memories of seeing the astronomical clock before going on a horse and carriage ride around the Old Town Square and a long walk over the Charles Bridge in Prague. In Barcelona, Spain I fell in love with Gaudi’s Architecture...
My dad worked for a major airline in The Netherlands so, I blame him for the travel-bug. After studying Tourism, I started working for a major US airline. Off I went. I moved to Dublin, Ireland first, a couple of years later I moved to Poznan, Poland. A few months later, I transferred to Chicago, Ill. While working in Chicago, I started to explore the rest of this beautiful country. I visited Maine, Massachusetts and Connecticut and really loved the fall foliage. The chance to visit India presented itself a few years ago and I feel so fortunate that I had the chance to meet some great people, see beautiful landscapes and interesting attractions such as the Gandhi Memorial Museum, experience the craziest traffic and eat the spiciest food, ever. And then there's Mexico.. beautiful fun Mexico. Love this country! It really offers something for everyone. In addition to the sun and gorgeous beaches it offers a wide range of activities, night life, arts, history and culture. You can easily make your vacation as active or relaxing as you'd like. There are some really great family friendly resorts with lots of daily and nightly activities/entertainment and kids clubs that'll keep the kiddo's entertained while you put yourself in time-out and enjoy some well-deserved time for yourself. Or, if you are just ready for a kid-free vacation, there are some beautiful and fun/relaxing adults only (YAY!) resorts out there. The Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso, the Excellence, THE ROYAL and the Valentin Imperial Maya are some adults only resorts I really like in the Riviera Maya. There are a lot more out there though and not just Mexico either. If you have been to Mexico a few times before you may want to try a different place and that's perfectly fine. There are so many great resorts, kid friendly AND kid-free, just waiting to be discovered by you.
Now that I have (finally) landed and settled down in Texas, I would love to be able to guide you and help plan a trip, near or far.
