Disney and Family Destinations
My love of Disney began during my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 7. I was able to continue that passion when I was lucky enough to be chosen as a cast member of the Disney World College Program for a Summer Internship. Fast forward a few years (decades) and multiple trips to Disney, along with various vacation destinations to where I am today, an Independent Travel Consultant specializing in Disney Destinations.
Being a Disney Destination Specialist for Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney and Aulani Resort and Spa has been an adventure! I continue travel to AEP and FAM trips (Agent Education Programs/ Familiarization Training) at Disney locations to help expand and offer a more hands on, visual training outlet of the Resorts and Parks with tours along with educational seminars directly with Disney Cast Members.
I have extensive training in family travel areas such as Universal Studios and Resorts, Legoland, Caribbean destinations with such resorts as Beaches, various Cruise lines and locations in Mexico such as Riviera Maya.
My goal is to help each person or family have the most seamless and memorable vacation experience possible. I offer my clients personalized attention and deliver to them as much information as I can for them to make an educated choice that will ultimately be the best fit for their family or vacation needs.
I have planned our vacations and helped family and friends with theirs to the point of obsession long before I was afforded the opportunity to become a travel specialist. Now with experience behind me, continual training and support of my host agency Academy Travel, I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to help my clients plan their dream vacations.
I am a mother of 3 boys with ages ranging from 9 to 19. We have traveled with each of them since they were just over a year old to destinations such as the Atlantis in the Bahamas, Beaches Resort in Jamaica, an Iberostar in Riviera Maya, Mexico, Walt Disney World, FL and most recently on a Western Caribbean Cruise. I know the difficulties of traveling with small children along with the benefits of having a well thought out travel plan.
Vacation is...
My son Jack, age 6 "Snorfelling" in St. Thomas, V
A vacation is any where memories are made, whether a short weekend trip to a more local destination such as D.C. or Baltimore's Inner Harbor to a Caribbean Cruise where you get to experience multiple countries and cultures in a weeks time.
We are usually planning our next adventure while driving home from the airport. On our most recent family vacation on the Norwegian Getaway, our youngest son was able to experience snorkeling for the first time after he and I spent years on the sidelines since he was too small. His vote for our next port adventure, "Snorfelling", as he called it,...and snorfelling it was! (See picture below Jack, age 6).
