Massachusetts Travel Agent Specialist
Legacy of The Salem Witches
I am always excited to represent Massachusetts as a travel agent specialist. The state is more than just a trip to Boston, although that is an excellent place in which to start exploring. Savor a Fenway Frank at Fenway Park or take the Freedom Trail to Paul Revere’s house. Do you need some retail therapy? If so, visit Newbury Street at Back Bay. A visit to the Boston Public Garden is always fun as well. At the Garden, enjoy a swan boat ride or pose for a picture at the Make Way for Ducklings monument. A visit to the New England Aquarium or Museum of Science might be good places to end a day’s activities. If you are a history buff, I suggest visiting neighboring Lexington and Concord and the Minute Man National Historic Park - a great place to learn how the American Revolution began. For anyone who loves to read, a visit to Henry David Thoreau’s Walden Pond or Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House is a good outing. If you enjoy Halloween, take a trip to Salem, which celebrates the holiday all year long. Visit the Salem Witch Museum or pay a visit to the House of Seven Gables, made famous by author Nathaniel Hawthorne. You will learn about the Salem witch trials at both sites. One of the largest Asian art collections in the U.S. is also found at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem. If you want some quiet time, I suggest visiting Cape Ann, where communities, such as Essex and Rockport represent the epitome of a quiet New England landscape. Plymouth Plantation, found south of the city, is a home to employees wearing 17th-century Puritan-type costumes. Historic New Bedford, once a commercial center for whaling, features boat rides to Woods Hole on Cape Cod, where you can enjoy ice cream in the summer. It is also a good place to feast on clams. Ride the Flying Horses Carousel in Oak Bluffs, one of the oldest carousels in the U.S. If you wish to explore the great outdoors, my recommendation, as your travel agent professional, is to set your sights on central Massachusetts. You can visit the Tower Hill Botanic Garden year-round, which is a place place to unwind after a day on the slopes of Wachusett Mountain. The 200-acre Sturbridge Village is another interesting attraction - a place that takes you back to the eighteenth century. If you are in the area, you might want to visit the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as well. A great resort to visit is the MGM Springfield and the Berkshire Mountains is just the place to visit if you want to escape to a quiet place. If you like golf, I would suggest a visit to the Cranwell Spa and Golf Resort. You might also like stepping back in time at Hancock Shaker Village. For the art lover, the Norman Rockwell Museum has plenty to see. Needless to say, you can choose from all types of activities when you visit the Bay State. Whether you visit in the winter or choose to take a summer excursion, you will always find something fun and interesting to keep you entertained. Let’s start planning your Massachusetts adventure today. Give me a call or contact me by email now.
