Vacation and corporate travel agent
Interests Wildlife viewing/photography, cultural/historical explorations, river-cruising, outdoor adventure, music history (where composers were born/lived/composed), immersive education about the world, Family travel, honeymoons, rail travel. Description I am enthusiastic for travel and discovery and a great capacity for wonder. These traits translate into how I plan travel for my clients, wanting you to have as much enjoyment and enrichment from your travel as I get out of mine. I also have nearly 40 years of experience as a travel agent, which means I offer you a wealth of knowledge. My two main specialties are Europe cultural/historical tours (both escorted and unescorted/locally guided) and US nature cruising and tours. I’ve arranged for clients to go on adventures such as hot-air ballooning, taking cooking classes, enjoying the sights and sounds at fabulous European music festivals, and shopping at dazzling open-air markets (like the Christmas markets in Europe), as well as skiing, sailing, SCUBA diving, snorkeling, and staying at dude ranches, Some of my favorite European destinations to visit and send people to are France, Austria, Ireland, and Greece. As is the case for many travelers, I’ve been delighted by the pastoral landscapes of France, its famous wines, and the most cosmopolitan city in the world: Paris. I find its incredible variety of architectural styles, historical sites, and museums downright mind-blowing; but I ‘m also pleasantly surprised to find Parisian people very friendly (contrary to popular belief)! Austria’s “Sound of Music” tour and the sites of Mozart’s life and work in Salzburg are not to be missed. The food is amazing! The people are so warm and approachable (more so than in Germany), and they are SOOO into music. A view of the Alps from the tram ways of Innsbruck is really beyond breath-taking! The circle tour of Ireland, taking in the entire rugged coastline and many historical sites, is my favorite way to see the aptly named “Emerald Isle,” with plenty of enjoyment here for cultural and nature enthusiasts, alike. Greece, as the “cradle of Western civilization,” has an incredible number of ancient historical sites and architecture to enjoy, as well as gorgeous scenery and colorful local culture. You drive in a taxi past this huge, old, structure—the Acropolis—and you think “How did they build this”? It’s waaay up on a hill! And the colors of Greece are so vivid— bright pink, blue, teal, yellow, or white. You can’t explain it to anybody; you have to experience it. Though Europe has countless man-made and natural attractions, one thing our country has in greater abundance is the ability to have close encounters with relatively untouched nature and wildlife. In Alaska, small ship cruising opportunities enable you to view absolutely magnificent scenery while watching Orcas, seals, eagles, and many other wild creatures. Nature cruising on the Columbia and Snake Rivers in Oregon and Washington, my clients and I have caught sight of bald eagles, sea lions, white pelicans, Cormorants, Blue Herons, Night Herons, and Mountain Goats, as well as salmon going up salmon ladders. Beautiful wild flowers are everywhere, as are waterfalls and fascinating rock formations. On land, our natural parks are visited by people from all over the world; and when you venture inside them and see the variety of wildlife and land and water formations (as my clients and I have done), you understand why people would come that far. I’ve also experienced and sent clients on train trips from Chicago to various western locales; this kind of travel offers the ability to see so many spectacular natural features in one trip, while ensuring your comfort and safety. My clients appreciate the genuine concern that I obviously have for their well-being, the hard work I put in to make sure their trip is everything they want, and my friendly, upbeat personality. I strive to arrange things so that there are no “bumps in the road”; but when the rare problem does occur, you can count on me to advocate for you. And, people say that my positive attitude is helpful when they are in difficult situations. My goal is for you to enjoy travel as much as I do; it sounds cliché, but I really do like making people’s dreams come true.

Wonderful Trip to Scandinavian!
Robin made all of the arrangements for our Scandinavian Tour. She always double checks every detail and document to make sure the trip will go smoothly. She even made calls to verify various things like what seats we have on a particular flight. In addition, she was able to find discounts that we did not even know existed and took care of making sure they were applied to bring the cost of the trip down.
We love going into plan our next trip with Robin -- in fact we have two more trips in the works with her right now. She makes the whole experience fun and exciting and we have full confidence she will take care of all of the plans for us. We just have to sit back and relax.
Best trip I have ever had!
I would defiantly recommend her to friends and or family for travels abroad. I am currently working with her on a trip for this year 2016. I am willing to bet that my friends that are going on this year’s trip will be more than happy to speak with her again on future trips themselves.
