River Cruise Specialist
The first 34 years of my working life were in education as a teacher and then high school counselor. After retiring from education, I spent a lot of time learning all about the travel industry. Having planned most of our trips (I did use a reputable travel agent for some more difficult itineraries) and many for family and friends, I decided to make it my new career.
My love for travel has taken me all over the world! I've been to Europe numerous times, to the South Pacific, New Zealand, Vietnam and Cambodia, all 50 states in the U.S., and Central America. My bucket list is still quite long and there are many places I still want to visit.
I experienced my first river cruise about five years ago with an AMA Waterways cruise on the Danube, beginning in Budapest and ending in Prague. Since then, I have taken 5 other river cruises and plan to take many more. What a wonderful way to see an area! Not only do you have a base each evening, you only have to unpack that once, and in most areas, you stop in the center of the city or village. You can get off and walk around town on your own, experience the culture, and meet the locals.
Since river cruising can take you so many places (all over Europe, China, Vietnam and Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar, Africa, South America, there are so many options! There are also cruises to fit every budget, and I can help find the one that best suits what you want!
