Global Immersion Specialist- Travel Like A Local
My name is Lindsey Washburn, I was born in Bend Oregon, and raised in Coeur d’Alene Idaho. I come from a family of travelers, pilots and seafaring crew. I took my first flight at 10 days old, to say the least at the time I wasn’t impressed- but hey, things changed rapidly as I grew up and continued to explore the world with my family and friends along the way.
We travelled often as a family, my mom had perks in the airline industry, friends in Mexico had a house and Hawaii was close for us on the West Coast. We made at least one “big-trip” every year, but more often we took road trips for weekend getaways and even spur of the moment adventures to Canada for dinner. I grew up sailing, skiing and with a genuine interest in finding adventure everywhere we went.
I am an only child- this in itself was a big adventure, but everywhere in life I’ve found a way to make friends with everyone I meet. I’m not known to be shy, and you’re only a stranger to me until I know your name. I’m a forward thinker, always planning for the next thing to come, the steps involved to get there and executing a perfect plan is my kind of fun.
I knew I wanted to be in the world of travel after a trip to Paris in 2012. This was a delayed celebration of my graduating from college in 2007- but we wanted to do it right. First class, with an extra stop in Iceland on the way (I cannot recommend this enough, especially when traveling from the West Coast)! I came home from this trip with a renewed vigor in my quest for finding a way to make travel an everyday occurrence. I stumbled upon an article about how to travel the world for free- or even get paid along the way- and my destiny was becoming a stewardess on a private yacht. I found a job in Florida- took it sight unseen and left my California job, life and belongings behind.
Fast forward 6 years and I have worked on 5 yachts in multiple capacities as a stewardess and chef. I’ve traveled up and down the Eastern Seaboard as far north as Maine, and south through the Caribbean to Antigua. I’ve worked on a charter yacht in Southeast Alaska for the rich and the famous and back again to the Caribbean, living and working in Puerto Rice for over a year at a private marina for affluent political influencers.
I am now living and working part-time on the West Coast of the US as a chef and stewardess, and have decided to share my knowledge base of travel and adventure, to my clients who want a unique travel experience customized to create unforgettable memories.
My clients enjoy the benefits of my time to design for them an immersion experience, going beyond the mechanics of travel (anyone can book a vacation package), to get you invited to dinner in a private family home, spend an afternoon with a fisherman diving for rare ocean delicacies or even hike to a secret beach off the beaten path with a local surfer. In order to build the best experience for my clients, I will work with you to build a custom traveler profile, to understand your goals and preferences. As I build more experience with your travel needs, I will be able to tailor you travel experience even more specifically. My goal is to save you time in booking travel, ensuring the best value, personalizing your experience wherever your travels take you and help with all the details surrounding a trip to maximize your enjoyment! Have you ever booked a trip but forgot to book a pick-up at the airport when you returned? What about your pets while you’re on vacation- I can help arrange house-sitters, pet-sitters, even specialized botanists for your exotic orchid garden!
I am your full access coordinator before, during and after your trip to ensure your complete enjoyment! Let’s talk today about where your daydreams take you and let’s make them a reality!

Tea at "Downton"- Highclere Castle, England
Lindsey planned our vacation to Seattle/Coeur D’Alene/etc. She went over the plan this morning with me. She had researched pricing down to the smallest detail of finding a way to save $10/day on ski passes; this alone saves $40 on the trip. All over the quote were comparisons of pricing from every part of the trip. Every part of the multi city plan she maximized spending the perfect amount of time to enjoy what each city offers and keep at our expenses at minimum. I truly can not put into words how impressed I am with her dedication, passion and attention to detail with her work. I can put into words that if you need advice, a simple hotel booking our a whole vacation planned then Lindsey Washburn is a perfect choice.

Lindsey planned our vacation to Seattle/Coeur D’Alene/etc. She went over the plan this morning with me. One thing that amazed me was when she opened an excel spread sheet for budgeting. There where columns and numbers everywhere! She had researched pricing down to the smallest detail of finding a way to save $10/day on ski passes; this alone saves $40 on the trip. All over the spreadsheet were comparisons of pricing from every part of the trip. Every part of the multi city plan she maximized spending the perfect amount of time to enjoy what each city offers and keep at our expenses at minimum. Mother Daughter Trip- Special Memories
Lindsey expertly planned a week in London including a Russian ballet, side trip to Downton Abbey, gardens, Crown Jewels, accommodations and fabulous cuisine. She was budget conscious and savvy enough to find good deals by comparing details like Uber vs. taxi, bus vs. train etc. Special memories due to stress free trip!
Best Vacation Ever!
Lindsey is 100% enjoyment based. She had so much knowledge in the leisure field and knows people don't want to waste their vacations on the frustration of logistics. Lindsey helped my husband and I get the most out of a much needed vacation to Puerto Rico in January 2016. It was, hands down, the best vacation we've ever taken!
