I LOVE to cruise & I LOVE the Caribbean!  I’ll admit that the affair started started in 1998 aboard the Carnival Fantasy and heated up in 2005 when I relocated to the Bahamas. I truly enjoyed living and working on Grand Bahama Island and it was an amazing year-and-a-half. During that time, I cultivated and developed my Caribbean soul. Now 15 cruises and 100-days-at-sea later my journeys have taken me to amazing places, brought me closer to my friends and family and provided incredible adventures.

Recently Todd, my best friend and partner, and I swapped our corporate careers in the casino & hospitality industry to open our own cruise and vacation agency. 2010 the Carnival Cruise Ship Victory in St. Lucia

I am asked if I remember my first cruise and I remember it well. It was 1998 and it was a 4 – day Bahamas cruise out of Canaveral, Florida. Arriving at the cruise terminal we pulled up next to our ship the Carnival Fantasy, I had never seen anything that big.  Staring at it, my imagination ran wild: where had it gone, what was it like on board and how do you drive something this big?

I still get goosebumps when I hear “Fantasy” by Earth Wind and Fire. That song played as we left port. It is truly an amazing feeling when a cruise ship sails. For the next four days I remained in a perfect bliss. That was it.
