Around Ireland 2018
In the month of March I had the opportunity to visit Ireland. Ireland wasn't initially at the top of my list as a place to visit in Europe but I am so glad that I went. The country and the people made Ireland a worth while trip!
My journey through Ireland started in Dublin which is like a metropolitan city with loads of Architecture and History. I spent 1 1/2 days in Dublin making my way around the city via city Bus and the Hop On Hop Off bus tour. I enjoyed every moment I spent in Dublin Ireland. I had Fish N Chips at a pub that I just walked in on Talbot St. and it was the best I had eaten all trip. They even had a couple of women who were playing some live music while everyone ate and drank. I found a small coffee and donut shop on my way to the Ha' Penny Bridge that I just walked in. I got a chance to do the Jameson Distillery Tour while in Dublin Ireland. It was well worth it and the drink at the end was delicious! There are so many sights to see and great photo opportunities traveling around Dublin.
I decided to book myself on a tour that would take me to the Cliffs of Moher from Dublin Ireland. It was a full day tour but I got so much from it. The coach ride was relaxing, comfortable and very scenic. We had an amazing guide who told us all about the various places that we moved through. Along with the cliffs, I got to have lunch in Doolin and walk around Galway and visit The Burrens. It was just an incredible tour and I would do it again.
The remainder of my time in Ireland was spent visiting some of the southern towns of Ireland. I stayed one night in Kilkenny Ireland and walked through the city centre and visited Kilkenny Castle. I moved on to Blarney with a drive through Cork. I visited the Blarney Castle and I climbed the stairs and attempted to kiss the stone but fear of heights was to much, lol. From there I moved on to Killarney Ireland which turned out to be one of my favorite cities in Ireland. It has a very lively City Centre with great shopping and plenty of Pubs. I spent 2 wonderful nights in Killarney before making my way back to Dublin to head home.
I definitely would put Ireland on your list as a place to visit. I can't say enough about the people and the country overall. I had such an amazing time and definitely will be returning!
