Swimmable beach resorts in Cabo
I visited Cabo San Lucas for the first time in April 2016. One of the common things you’ll hear about Cabo is that most of the beaches are not swimmable. This is a very true statement not only because the huge undertow, but because of the force that the waves crash on the beach. With that being said, there are a few swimmable beaches. The one I am going to concentrate on is Medano Beach, along with a couple different hotel options. If you are interested in a non-inclusive hotel on a swimmable beach that’s not far from the action of Cabo San Lucas, the ME Cabo just might be the place for you. This hotel does allow children, but it’s definitely geared towards adults. This hotel seemed quite risqué and there are limited children’s activities, so I would probably steer families away from staying at this property. Right when you walk in to the lobby you get an amazing view of Land’s End, which will just take your breath away. The pool areas have a very Mediterranean feel to them. The pools have fun music playing loudly all day. The beach itself is just amazing. Whether you’re main focus for a beach is a long walking beach, or a nice swimming beach, this resort will fit the bill. Watersports are not included at this resort, but they have Jet Ski rentals right out in front of the resort. The water color is a beautiful teal shade, which is a nice contrast to the light golden sands of the beach. The beach is very inviting with its calm waters, which is not typical to find in the Cabo area. There are a couple different room categories at the ME, but most of them supply some sort of ocean view. The rooms are nicely appointed in white and aqua tones. They do have bar items and amenities to purchase right in your room, some of the items being quite risqué and adult themed. If you’re looking for a fun adult geared environment within easy reach of the nightlife of Cabo San Lucas on a swimmable beach, the ME Cabo will check off all those boxes. If staying at an Adults Only All Inclusive property is more your speed, Breathless Cabo San Lucas will be a great option for you. This hotel is located at the end of Medano Beach, right next to the marina. This is a high energy resort that is geared towards groups of friends or couples. They feature an Unlimited Luxury concept, so higher end drinks, no wrist bands and they do not require reservations for the specialty restaurants. This property is actually broke up between two buildings. One of the buildings is for the rooms, which all have a marina view. The rooms are quite modern and bright with accents in fuchsia. The beds face the window so you can look out at an amazing view of the marina right when you wake up in the morning. The other building is an activities building which has the gym, pool, beach, some dining options and a Skyview Bar. This whole area is fresh and very modern in design. There are splashes of fuchsia and purple, which are a nice contrast to the teal color of the water. The infinity pool offers beautiful views of the Sea of Cortez and a different angle looking out towards Land’s End. The waters are nice and calm, so you can enjoy a dip in the ocean, right in front of this resort. If you want to walk the beach you can go for quite a ways from this hotel. You can relax or be as active as you like at this beautiful property. Did I mention it was adults only? If you’re looking for a very chic ultra-modern adults only all-inclusive, Breathless Cabo San Lucas is the right place for you.
