Heather made the experience of booking so easy and painless; being willing to work over the phone as we booked a flight and was prompt to respond to any of my concerns or questions after I booked. When we set about planning a family vacation to San Juan, we didn't have the first clue about the area, things to do, etc. Heather presented us with several options for lodging (hard to do considering our large family of 6) and several options for excursions. Heather planned our 10 year anniversary trip to Colonial Williamsburg, and it was amazing! We both work and we have a young child and a side business, so finding time to plan this trip ourselves was out of the question. Heather took all the pressure off, and even found us an absolute *gem* of a B&B to stay in! She found all kinds of things to do, and all I had to do was say yes or no. She did the rest, and she even helped us cobble together a food tour when the one we had booked with her fell through (stupid pandemic). Absolutely would use Heather's agency again for our next (hopefully international?) nerdventure.

Heather did a fantastic job getting an eight day tour of Ireland plus a couple extra days in Dublin planned for me. She kept me informed thru out the entire process from the deposit to final payment time. She also sent me info about the upcoming weather for Ireland the week before which helped greatly in what kind of clothing to pack. I really enjoyed the sheep dog experience, the Titanic exhibit and the Cliffs of Moher. All the hotels that we stayed in were wonderful and had great rooms and great food and service. This was a trip of a lifetime and I didn't have to worry about anything. Heather goes above and beyond her job requirements and you should seriously consider using her to plan your next trip. You won't be disappointed.

Was great from the beginning to the end. I told her what I wanted and she took it from there. Asked questions to make sure she had everything that I wanted. Not only did she book my cruise but also my flights as well as hotel and ground transportation. Sent updates on the progress of the trip and reminders when I needed to make sure that I did something on my end.

I asked her if she could find me a trip that would get me in to see a Chicago Cubs game in Chicago. She immediately went to work to find me a sports package for this. Not only did she help to set this part of the trip up, but also notified me of a chance to go see a Green Bay Packer game at Lambeau Field while I was up in Wisconsin. This trip not only provided a great trip to and from the airport in Chicago, a nice hotel, a chance to walk the Magnificent Mile, and go up into the Hancock Building and take part in the Tilt Experience, but a tremendous tour of Wrigley Field and to see a Cubs game, and we were within walking distance of the Navy Pier that we could enjoy on a weekend trip. Then last but not least was a chance to go to a Green Bay Packer game on a Thursday night and be among so many cheese heads. Check out Heather to get your next special adventure planned. A few days before we were set to fly out, Heather emailed us all of our confirmation numbers so they were easily accessible and in one place. My husband and I are slowly getting our travel legs back post pandemic and we are already dreaming and scheming of some overseas adventures. Heather planned this trip down to the finest details. She navigated us thru the subway system and got us to the places that we needed to be. She suggested sites to see beside the things that the tour was offering so we got to see more of NYC at the holiday time. Our hotel was great and centrally located to things. Everything of our trip went smoothly. We stayed at Treasure Island (TI). Our room was impressive. It was called a mini-suite. The main characteristic was that it had two full baths; one with a shower, the other with a jetted garden tub. We stayed in Vegas for 6 days. Day 1 we took the Big Buss tour which we'd highly recommend for any first time visitors. It gets you the lay of the land. We also went to the Mob Museum. Day 2 we drove around Vegas and did Fremont Street. That evening we went to Lionel Richie's concert in the Wynn which was just across the street from TI, very convenient and an amazing event. Day 3 was Saturday and drove to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. It was awesome and worth every minute of the drive. We realized how much we enjoyed nature's wonders. On the way back we drove on two sections of Route 66, a must do for an old car guy like myself. Unfortunately the Barry Mantilow concert had been cancelled, but no big deal everything was going great. Sunday we did Hoover Dam and Lake Meade that again was outstanding. On Monday we drove towards the Valley of Fire, but missed an exit and got pleasantly lost. We drove all along the north shore of Lake Meade and the scenery was impressive, worth getting lost for. The only downside to the trip was the expense of just so-so meals and due to the up coming formula 1 race you could not see the Bellagio or its fountains from the street. Vegas requires a lot of walking so if you have restricted mobility you'll need to find some work-arounds, like uber. If smoking bothers you, all the casinos except one is heavy with smokers, except the Park MGM. Its the only completely non-smoking facility.

We've used Melvin's Travels for other trips and will continue to do so. We prefer to have someone give us some ideas and options for our trips, and Heather does this beautifully. I'm a bit older, and forgetful. She's been VERY patient with me and my many multiple questions.

Heather helped us plan a bucket list family trip to Ireland. She gave us great guidance and information all the way through, from planning the itinerary and choosing vendors through obtaining all necessary travel documents and providing helpful travel tips. While everything went smoothly on our trip, we were fully prepared with information to assist us if there were any issues at all. I initially contacted Heather through a recommendation by a friend. Heather responded with questions we hadn’t even thought of. She then presented us with multiple itineraries. We settled on a 10 day train travel trip with stays in Edinburgh, Pitlochry, Inverness and Glasgow. The entire trip was amazing but for us the highlights were the quaintness of Pitlochry where we stayed at The Old Mill Inn and the walking food & beverage tour we did in Glasgow with our young guide, Louis. We had a 4 week sabbatical and wanted to plan traveling to many national parks out west. We had lots of ideas, but couldn't figure out how to plan and book all the reservations and such. The Itinerary provided was so organized and user friendly for us. It was the most magical trip we have ever had, and recommend that everyone spend at least 2 weeks exploring out west at least once. It truly is life changing. Thank you Heather for helping make this happen!

I think what made the trip so much fun was that we did not know every person in the group. Some of the individuals knew each other, but not everyone knew all eight individuals. We gelled so great; we ended up having so much in common. We laughed, walked, ate, drank, and continued to laugh for 10 days.

Heather's thoroughness and preparation stand out. I did a hiking trip to Utah mid-September. It required flights in and out of a small regional airport, stays at 3 different places in 3 different towns, a car, travel insurance, and all the attendant details. Heather planned this out, giving me multiple choices of flights and places up front, then making the reservations and handling payments when I made my decisions. She tracked the park and travel conditions for me (there had been flooding, and fires further west), and kept me posted. She made sure I arrived safely, came home safely and welcomed me back. This was not a simple out-and-back, and due to her hard work all travel and lodging was flawless. I just had to make sure I completed the hikes ;-)

I admit I used to be skeptical about what an agent could do for me that I couldn’t do myself and I’m no longer that skeptic. For several years now we have had amazing travel experiences and recommendations from Heather.
The real magic comes from knowing that when something goes sideways, and it will, that she’s got it handled. We booked our 2024 getaway to Jamaica last year and who expected the earliest category 4 hurricane ever to target the trip?! So July 3rd, that’s right, a day before a national holiday Heather was making magical things happen to cancel and rebook everything so that we wouldn’t lose deposits and still have a magical time!

Heather planned our trip to Vegas. From our flights, shuttles,Excursions ect. She stayed on top of everything and made it a wonderful worry free experience!

Heather was thorough, reachable, and made us aware of any changes throughout the trip. Our suggestions involve some of the Grand Canyon tours. We had 2 cancelations, one the day before our scheduled tour. Max Tours was able to book us last minute for a small group. They were reliable and the tour was enjoyable and affordable. Private transfer drivers were dependable, but may be helpful to share contact info so they can communicate directly with us. The driver was waiting for us at the hotel, but we didn’t know even though we were waiting outside until he drove around again and got out of vehicle. American Airlines did well after the issues on 7-19-24. CLT was more chaotic after the cancelations on 7-19-24.

Heather was fantastic. From start to finish, she was helpful and accommodating. I really appreciated the constant communication and thorough responses to all our questions.

We took a Virgin Voyage that was arranged by Heather and it went without a hitch. She even handled a situation where the hotel accidently mischarged us. We just emailed her and she handled it while we enjoyed our vacation. Thank you Heather!

Heather was great to work with! She was able to put together the perfect travel package for us! We just did North island of New Zealand. We had 0 issues and when we had a question we contact both her and the place we had a question with; she got back to us and they did not. Which was fine we were not upset but Heather gave us information to do an emergency contact if we wanted.

Called her and told her where my friend and I wanted to go and she took it from there. She did all of the bookings for our cruise, excursions, help to set up an app for LYFT and for getting our remote covid tests. (She sent detailed steps for this process and it was a piece of cake when we did the tests.) She was very prompt in answering any of our questions and always sent receipts as soon as payments were made. She was readily available via phone and email from the start of our planning to our returning home. Heather planned a Costa Rican trip for us. Was very helpful with Covid-travel and stayed on top of a super-delayed flight, making sure the group we were meeting with there was on top of it. Always available for questions/comments before and during the trip. Very beneficial!

While trying to plan a road trip to several national parks in Arizona, Utah and Wyoming I was becoming overwhelmed as I didn't know the area and did not know where to stay. We turned to Heather, and it was the best decision we could have made. She gave us 3-4 options for hotels in each town we were staying and also presented selections for optional excursions. We had a great time and all the accommodations and tours we took were great. We had an awesome time.

Melvin’s travel adventures helped us set up our trip to Spain. They got us first class transports to airports and train stations. First class high speed rail tickets. They were fantastic!
