Family Alaskan Vacation at Mendenhall Glacier

Alaska is a bucket list travel location for so many people.  This large state has so much to see which is why you need a travel planner to help guide you to book your dream vacation.  

My parents fell in love with Alaska and visited different areas of the state 15 times.  This gave me a vast knowledge of the state and some of the areas less travelled.  My interest increased when I travelled to Alaska the first time.  Travelling with a 2 year old we cruised to Ketchikan , Juneau and Sitka.  A highlight was sailing into Glacier Bay and seeing the Puffin's as they floated around the ship.  Our trip included a land tour which I always recommend to my clients.  Denali National Park is amazing and the Wilderness Tundra Tour allows you to see the "Big 5" (Bears, Wolves, Dall Sheep, Moose & Caribou) as they live in their natural habitat.  As my kids got older we went back to Alaska and enjoyed a few different ports but always include going to Denali.

If you have more time to travel I would recommend including Fairbanks.  Try panning for gold, seeing the Alaska Pipeline or going to the Ice Hotel.  My family has enjoyed all of these activities.
