This was our bucket list trip! Actually, I found Michelle on YouTube because we were interested in going on a Cruise Tour to Alaska/Yukon. After watching her videos for the Holland America Y5L tour, I knew this was what my husband and I wanted to do. I checked with several area travel agents, but none of them understood what a cruise/tour was with Holland America. They all said, " You need to do the 7-day cruise and then the land portion." I got somewhat frustrated. So I reached out to Michelle. She was a blessing to work with. In this day and age, everything is handled online anyway; that was the beauty of it, me being in PA and her in FL. Michelle responded quickly to all the questions I had. She informed me of the options for excursions, meal plans, and insurance. What I valued most was that she took this trip herself and understood how everything was planned. We started in Anchorage with the McKinley Train to Denali & Denali National Park (saw 2 grizzly), then took a bus/coach to Fairbanks with a riverboat tour included. The next day FLEW to Dawson City for a couple of days, which included Dredge 4. Next, took a bus/coach to White Horse on the Klondike Highway (cool... a good portion was a dirt road). From there traveled to Skagway (including the White Pass Train Excursion) and got on the Koningsdam for a 4-night cruise. In the end, the trip was absolutely fabulous, even better than we expected. We enjoyed the land portion the most. We were first-time cruisers, so it was out of our comfort zone. Holland America knows what they are doing! I would absolutely recommend Michelle to anyone for their travel needs. She was consistent in sending us up-to-date information as we got closer to the trip, with tips and tricks that helped us plan.
