First Time Abroad

Fall 2018, I decided to make the plunge into planning a Europe trip for my parents, sister, and myself. Immediately I knew I would need the help of a travel agent, as my family is not very savvy when it comes to vacationing, and we have never left the country. A quick google search serendipitisouly led me to Linda, and I am so glad it did because she was perfect for our family. Right away she made an appointment with me to show me her special European map that highlightedall the places she had been. She helped set the framework for the trip by saying she liked to pick 3 or 4 cities and plan a loop. We talked about the goals for the trip, picked the cities with each family member in mind, and then she went from there. Linda was flexible with giving choices but also making expert decisions herself when I felt overwhelmed. She stayed in touch throughout the entire planning process, giving many updates and tips for the trip. Vacation was the best ever, especially for our first time abroad.

The trip that will be after Covid-19!

Linda helped us plan and replan (as i made a mistake) our trip -and then helped us navigate the disappointment of not being able to go b/c of Covid-19. She invested time in getting to know my kiddos interests and aligning our trip plans to their needs. Example - my son planned a 14 day trip to all his destinations--she helped me navigate the plans with him and then my daughter who was not so interested she helped figure out her love of food and sent us ideas on she could eat her way through Europe. Very conscientious, thoughtful, and wonderful to work with - despite our high maintenance profile!

Our experience has definitely been different than others in that we are unable to go on our honeymoon this June because of the coronavirus. She has been there for us every step of the way, answering all of our questions and has walked us through the process of deferring our honeymoon until next summer. Linda was great to work with. She met with us to figure out what we were hoping for our trip and then put together a terrific package. She is definitely an expert when it comes to Italy, and found some terrific side trips during our visit. We visited and toured family owned vineyards and wineries, stayed at a castle in Tuscany and spent time in the big cities. All the hotels Linda booked for us were first rate and put us within walking distance of everything we wanted to see.

Bucket List Trip!

Each time we had a question she replied right away. Once our trip was booked she even sent reminders when it was time to check-in for our flight. Linda is awesome! She was knowledgable, friendly, and truly interested in what we wanted. She asked thoughtful, probing questions to find out what we had in mind. She then provided a variety of options. She was always prompt, patient, and informative in her responses. She was diligent in finding activities that we requested, tracking down the best possible solutions. When COVID 19 came into play, she kept us updated and laid out all the possible courses for us to follow. She patiently found answers to my many inquiries so that I could be as informed as possible before choosing the path to, unfortunately, cancel our trip. She went above and beyond in attempting to plan the best trip possible and was available at any time that I had a question. Linda is very personable and someone I felt very comfortable working with. Mother/Daughter Girls trip

Our mother/daughter planning began about 1 year prior to the actual trip. We visited London, England and Paris, France. Contacting and working with Linda Gartner was the best choice we could have ever made. We provided Linda with our anticipated travel dates and where we wanted to go. We also gave her an "extensive" list of ideas. She was able to take our wish lists and provide us with realistic expectations of what we could actually accomplish in our time span and most importantly help us organize and prioritize our "wants" most efficiently.
Hands down best trip ever. Everything was organized for us, timed meetings, timed departures, suggestions to get to our tour guides and other places, complete daily schedule everyday! Wow.
It is hard to put into words how important it was for us to have her experience planning this trip. We worked with her off and on for many months and then met with her about 3 weeks prior to go over every detail.
Remarkable!!!! Highly recommend.

9 trips and counting...

We’ve booked 9 trips with Linda beginning in 2022. Linda has always helped get exactly what we want, even when the odds are against us! Our first trip on a cruise after Covid isolation ended, was abruptly interrupted when the cruise company made us leave the ship after contracting covid (this is when they had daily testing) and isolate for a week in a Frankfurt hotel. A very sad experience, but Linda was instrumental in getting us on a flight back home as soon as we could. All our other trips (including to Antarctica) have gone without a hitch. With our last booking on a cruise, we were having a difficult time with the cruise company regarding our air arrangements, but Linda stepped in and after a bit of back and forth, got us what we wanted at no extra “deviation” charge. She can be a “miracle worker” when things go wrong, and we appreciate her to no end! Knowledgeable, efficient, detail-oriented, and just a nice person. Linda is highly recommended.

The best month of our lives!

We had never used a travel agent before, but planning the logistics of a month-long European adventure for our family of 5 was too daunting a task for us. We found Linda on the internet -and boy are we glad we did! The experience she put together for us was nothing short of epic. Every detail was thought out and written out.....down to which escalator to use (and not use) in the airports to meet our driver! The tours she booked were absolutely first-rate with professional guides extremely well educated in their subject matter. She listened and incorporated our accommodations preferences and "must-see" wishes and adventures. She drew on her own vast experience to give us tips that we hadn't even thought of - from where to take in the most stunning vistas of Rome to where to get help if somebody gets sick on the trip.
We have already recommended Linda and her agency to all of friends who are planning trips, and will absolutely use her again for our own future
