“You have to go in order to know.” This is something I believe VERY strongly in. How can someone recommend a destination if one has never visited it and become immersed in the culture?

2024 marks my 13th year as a full-time travel professional. I have personally visited Cancun/Riviera Maya/Playa Mujeres, Puerto Vallarta/Riviera Nayarit, & Los Cabos 100+ times since 2012. I’ve also hopped a plane to the Hawaiian Islands over a dozen times. Jamaica is also close to my heart, as I’ve been to the land of "no worries, mon" eight times and visited various other Caribbean islands including the beautiful Dominican Republic and Aruba. All of these beautiful destinations are some of my areas of expertise. I have spent years developing relationships with the resort sales staff and their tour operator partners, getting to know them and their properties inside and out, all in an effort to better service my clients.

My passion is helping couples plan their destination weddings at all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean, but I also book romantic trips for couples, social groups such as friends getaways, corporate incentive groups, and reunions. Resorts realize that partnering with travel advisors to bring destination weddings to them is a match made in heaven; after all, we are the ones who know the ins and outs of the properties and already the relationships with the resort staff from sending business to them over the years.

Prior to joining the travel industry, I worked 23 years in the media (radio & television), most of it spent helping other businesses grow by asking questions so I could understand their needs in order to recommend the best course of action to reach their own sales and marketing goals. A big part of my job was also planning events and promotions around my clients, which has really come in handy as a Destination Wedding Specialist. I believe transitioning into the travel industry was such a natural progression for me: it married my love of helping people find the best fit for their needs with my passion for travel, and it has been "happily ever after" for me and my new career choice ever since!
