Family Vacation Cruise Specialist

An Oldie but a goodie.

I was blessed with two daughters and we as a family enjoy going on vacations, specifically cruise vacations together.  Yes, even now that my daughters are "older" we still love getting together on vacation.  Cruise vacations have an uncanny way of bringing us all closer together.

I recently introduced my granddaughter to cruising and she is now hooked.  She asks me all the time when we're going on the next cruise.  I love that!

Coordinating all of the logistics for a family cruise, whether its just another vacation or celebrating a special event, there are a lot of details to attend to.  Not only have I been putting together family vacations for over 42 years as a parent, I've been doing it now for cruise vacations for nearly 10 years as a family cruise vacation specialist.

I recently met with a family with 6 kids, ages 6 to 19.  They had a lot of questions about stateroom options, could the parents be in a balcony stateroom while the kids had an inside stateroom, and what about age minimums in the stateroom?

They wanted to know what activities there were and are they age specific?  They had some concerns around safety, especially their teens after hours. They were also concerned that there large family would not be seated together in the dining room.  And lastly what types of port side excursions are family friendly and could they possibly spilt up?

Over the course of a few weeks we worked through those and many other questions to land on the perfect cruise line, the perfect itinerary and stateroom arrangements that made everyone, even the teens happy.
