As a graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge and a blogger, I have done extensive research on Disney destinations (usually with a favorite background music loop emanating from my stereo speakers). I have experience working with Disney’s disability services and am committed to making sure no one misses out on the magic of a dream vacation. I have also completed training with Universal Parks and Resorts to help my clients book trips to their Orlando theme parks, including all their Harry Potter attractions. Our agency has access to booking other destinations and cruise lines as well. If you’re a first-time traveler to Disney's or Universal's theme parks, I can’t stress enough the importance of having a knowledgeable vacation planner help you navigate all the options and find the best plan for your family. I’ll provide you with a day-by-day itinerary for your trip, filled with tips gleaned from my personal experience. My first trip to the Walt Disney World® Resort was as a kid in 1981, before Epcot® was even open. I remember the thrill of riding Space Mountain and cooling off in the old River Country water park. I didn't return until 2009, when I had a family of my own. I thought it would be our once-in-a-lifetime trip, but I was mistaken. From the moment my wife, son and I arrived at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, everything seemed ... well, magical! I’ll never forget the final night of our trip, enjoying dinner at the Rose & Crown Pub, my son let it slip to “The Hat Lady” playing piano that it was his dad’s birthday. Before I knew it, she was leading the entire room in singing “Happy Birthday” to me. I can still see my son’s beaming face. That experience would not have happened had we not spent time to choose our dining experiences with the help of an experienced Disney travel consultant, who was able to get us a reservation in this prime fireworks viewing location. Planning in advance allowed us to enjoy the sights, sounds and storytelling details that make the Disney parks such a special place.
