Afterward, continue westward for lunch and head to the scenic Berkshires.

Renowned for its stunning fall foliage, western Massachusetts is also home to many famous artists and writers both past and present. Visit the Norman Rockwell Museum to see the works of the beloved illustrator for the Saturday Evening Post, capturing the essence of small-town America. Afterward, explore a former Shaker settlement founded in 1783, now a living history museum where you can step back in time and view clothing and artifacts from the Shakers’ daily lives. Finally, we head to Manchester, Vermont, for our overnight stay.

This afternoon, choose between a scenic trip aboard a locomotive to the highest mountain peak in the Northeast or relax and unwind at your hotel.
