Fantastic vacations don't happen by accident

We have just returned from an amazing vacation that was organized by an outstanding agent, Katherine Poon. Katherine was able to accomplish in 24 hours what I had tried to do for months and that was locate and book a reasonably priced vacation for my wife and I. With one phone call I was able to provide Katherine with a wish list of what I was looking for and by the next day she had provided me with well informed vacation options to review and eventually book. The outstanding service doesn't stop there.... Katherine provided in the moment updates and brought forward recommendations on how to prepare for our trip. She was readily available to ask questions and not only provided her answer but would check in with our resort as well to clarify. Katherine's network and the ability to connect with the resort was key in arranging special requests and a much better vacation experience then I could have ever predicted Katherine 's bright spirit and welcoming availability made her a delight to work with in planning our trip. An amazing vacation

Good morning I am posting this review looking out the window with 4 inches of snow on the ground wishing I were still in Mexico!!!!We were a group of 8 that Katherine managed effortlessly. Our resort was TRS Coral in Mexico aprox 45 min from the cancun airport , all was well with the transfer, and we were met at the reception with champagne. I have reached out to Katherine for potential travel to attend a family member's funeral. Katherine answered my call promptly & took the time to educate us on the pandemic travel restrictions, border closure, flight suspension, special permission to enter and travel requirements, etc. After much consideration, we have decided against travel at this time but will definitely reconsider travel once the restrictions are lifted/loosened.

Trip of a Lifetime

Dealing with Katherine was wonderful. Husband and I were looking for a ‘once in a lifetime” trip to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Several destinations were discussed and we decided on a Paul Gauguin South Pacific cruise with a 3 night stay in overwater bungalow in Bora Bora. Katherine was extremely prompt in answering any questions we had and provided detailed information. Unfortunately due to a medical issue we are unable to travel and therefore needed to cancel our trip, once again Katherine was extremely efficient in ensuring all details were handled in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend Katherine and will be reaching out to her again when we are looking for travel arrangements.

A memorable Mediterranean Cruise

Time really flies! We started planning our vacation back in February 2025 and just returned in October — seven months of anticipation that turned into wonderful memories.
We want to thank Katherine for her professionalism and expertise. She provided us with excellent advice regarding insurance coverage, passports and medications to bring. She followed up with us every step of the way tirelessly — from booking flights, cruise, pre cruise hotels, transfers, excursions and restaurants, to helping us collect travel points and even visiting us at home.
My conclusion: don’t leave home without a good travel agent! Some people might be great with computers, but travel truly requires a professional touch.

The food, hotel, and accommodation on this trip were all great for the price. The only downside was the poor water quality at the beach. Overall, we really enjoyed the resort. Wonderful Family Vacation

Katherine helped us plan a wonderful family vacation to Maui, including flights, accommodations and car rental. She was very attentive to our wishes and responded quickly to all of our questions. Although there was a small hiccup when the airline changed one of our flights, Katherine helped us quickly re-book a new flight. She was even able to get the airline to waive our seat selection fee.
We returned from Maui 2 weeks ago. Everything went as planned. We were so pleased with our accommodations which exceeded our expectations. Katherine even arranged for a small gift to greet us when we arrived:)

We decided to change our destination rather short notice and Katherine got it all arranged for us quickly even though she was out of town. She went above and beyond by booking our before and after airport hotel rooms and making sure the parking for our vehicle was confirmed. She set us up with a private driver at our destination which got us to our resort very quickly and we weren't packed into a shuttle that would have taken longer. Super Katherine to the Rescue

I booked a return flight to Munich for a family gathering during Oktoberfest. Then Air Canada pilots threaten to strike 3 days before our departure (cue the scary music). I spent hours searching for other flights that I could cancel for any reason if the strike is averted. Trying to make sense of refund policies is completely impossible on your own!!! We don't know whom you scared when you had "words" with Viking, but on all our dining occasions in the speciality restaurants and "The Restaurant", we've been consistently shown to prime window tables. In Chef's Table, we were given the best seats in the house: a cozy corner banquette with a beautiful window view. We're giving you the credit!
Our "celebration" occasions came full of lovely intentions by the staff with a spectacularly beautiful cake arrived, along with a bottle of bubbly. We do thank you for making the arrangements.
Stateroom #5065 has been perfect (perhaps you scared them into that, too?). Midship, just off the elevator, so the rough seas were felt perhaps a little less and we didn't have to walk far down the hallway.

Our hotel was in a good spot for exploring the city and the staff at the hotel were great and the breakfast served by the hotel was very good, again staff was lovely and friendly. The private half-day walking tour that was arranged for us was very good, the guide was very personable and knowledgeable - it was a good intro to the city for my brother and sister-in-law who had never been to Florence before. There was no problem with the flights - long lay overs both directions but realize we didn't plan too far in advance for the trip so options became more limited. Thank you for coordinating the trip for the four of us, that was very much appreciated. Look forward to working with you again.

My Daughter and me recently got back from a Caribbean Cruise, our first. Katherine from Fun In Paradise Travel arranged the entire cruise for us, from our wants to our needs list.
For the Cruise, the stateroom and the floor we wanted, preferences to dinning, in an always inclusive cruise. To the Hotel pre and post the cruise and the flights to get us to the cruise port. It was a flawless Cruise, thoroughly enjoyed our room and the view. She crosses her T’s and dot’s her I’s to make your cruise the most enjoyable it can be.
The flight’s had issues but she still went to bat for us in connecting with the cruise line to get information to get us home safe and sound.
We are in the process with booking another cruise through Katherine, with the same needs and wants list. You have to be worth your salt to get people to return and do business with you again and she is the one to do it.

An awesome memory making vacation

Phenomenal Job Planning our Group Vacation

First, I want to thank you for all your help with organizing our wonderful trip to Jamaica for us. Everything was great, we got all rooms next to each other.
The flight went smooth beginning with the chauffeured ride to the airport and back home safe and sound. The driver was excellent.
The resort itself (Luxury Bahia Principe) was unbelievable and amazing and the “all inclusive” is a great invention – food, drinks, entertainment, everything was marvellous. The restaurants and buffets were incredible. The pool and beach were very inviting.
We had a full day excursion visiting the Appleton Estates (rum factory), the Y-Falls and the Black River (crocodiles). It was truly an experience.
I highly recommend this resort. The weather was excellent.
Thank you again Katherine (from Rossi, Monaco & DeLellis family), you did a phenomenal job in planning our Jamaican vacation.

We know we were not neglected by our agent, when you e mail us our e ticket and invoice, but we didn't respond you in time, you gave us a courtesy home call to ensure we can board the trip, and by making our seat selection so I would not have to say excuse me to leave my seat. We took your advice to bring the Imodium, peptobismol and Advil, Advil and Imodium were used due to the heat case, the headache and the stomach, so we had confident with the food, you know this time we had two groups and book from two agencies, you booked us to reside just next to theirs, so it was convince for us to keep in touch. Best airport and travel preparedness advice!

Recently, I turned to my good friend, Katherine for some travel advice. As snowbirds, we typically drive south, but with the US land border closed to Canadians until Nov 8/21, we were once again having to fly. We had heard that arriving 2 hours prior to our flight, may not be enough time. I chose to contact my trusted friend, and travel agent, Katherine at Fun In Paradise Travel. Not only did Katherine recommend that we arrive at the airport, at least 3 hours before our flight, she also gave recommendations on several locations for COVID testing for travel. Katherine’s advice was bang on! We arrived 3 hours early and just made it to the gate in time for departure. On boarding, we were told the flight would be delayed as 45 passengers were still in customs. Thankfully with the advice of Katherine, we were not the ones holding up the plane or potentially missing our flight. Thanks again, Katherine!

I have worked with many travel agents in the past but none of them have even come close to Katherine’s commitment to customer service and her knowledge. My Mother and I were celebrating her 75th Birthday. I wanted someone who had experience with Hawaii, could direct us to the right hotel, shows, and excursions and Katherine was definitely the person.
Katherine truly goes far above expectations and supports you through the entire trip. We needed wheelchair transportation set up and Katherine arranged that and followed up to ensure they would be there for us. For every thing we did she had detailed instructions . She was able to negotiate an upgraded room with the view we wanted, a catamaran ride, and Birthday surprises.
It was such a pleasure to work with Katherine, a truly dedicated Travel Agent who delivers the best customer service I have ever experienced!

Katherine is a very thorough travel agent, she always looks out for your best interest. I booked a trip with my Mom and Cousin pre-covid and due to the pandemic situation we had to cancel our plans. I've been planning to get away for some time, two years to be exact. Katherine is a customer of ours, I told her that i was looking at going somewhere warm for the holidays since I knew she was in the business. I was only hoping for suggestions from Katherine because I was afraid that it would be too expensive to book with an agent. A bucket list trip!

Feeling overwhelmed as to where to start with planning our trip to Hawaii, Katherine made it easy and took off the pressures of doing all the planning like we normally do on trips. The only hiccup we had was with the pick up from the airport which had nothing to do with Katherine. And, once I told her what occurred, she was all over resolving the issue. Again, she took away any pressures so we could enjoy our trip. The hotel was awesome and glad she recommended it. We stayed at the Kona Sheraton. She had called to confirm a late check out for us and during that process, she managed to make sure we had a room overlooking the Manta Ray Bay. One word - AMAZING! We saw manta rays from our balcony...what a view...not to mention the view of the ocean and all the volcanic rock...love! Katherine checked in with us to make sure all was well which was great and very thoughtful! Everything went smoothly. I want to thank Katherine for being such a great agent!

Dream Vacation for our Family

I have never met anyone so on top of things like Katherine. She caught multiple errors I had made when filling out my information that would have been costly. She thought of details while planning our vacation that I would have never thought of. Any time I had a question she would reply back within minutes every time. Honeymoon Celebration

My husband and I recently got back from our honeymoon in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. We stayed at the Grand Bahia Príncipe. It was an amazing resort with great food and amazing service. Katherine helped so much from the beginning of the planning to ensure that we had the best honeymoon ever. She was very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to Jamaica as we were first time travellers to Jamaica. When our flight was turned back to Toronto for maintenance issues, Katherine was on the phone right away with Westjet checking on the status of our flight and ensuring that we had transportation to our resort once our flight landed after being delayed several hours. Our First Trip to New York

Katherine was of incredible assistance before, during and after our trip. It was the first my sister and myself had been on together and are grateful to have had Katherine's help and support. Great Experience Despite Needing to Cancel

When I first contacted Katherine, she got back to me right away. She suggested a few destinations, and sent information on a few resorts. Once we determined St. Lucia as the island we wished to book, she sent through a few more resort options along with her own recommendations.
Anytime I emailed her, she got right back to me with answers to my questions.
Unfortunately, we had to cancel our booking and Katherine was very understanding and helpful. She went above and beyond to get us our money back, even most of our down payment.
I will certainly call Katherine again, should I need to book another trip.

Just got back from Jamaica and had a great time with NO WORRIES MON!! Katherine (Poonie) took care of everything...all documents prepared prior to leaving which made hotel and air travel quick and easy. Poonie recommended the Dunns River Waterfall climb which was the familys' favorite excursion:) Look forward to booking a future trip with Poonie!

Memorable Graduation Experience

A group of buddies and I had just completed our undergraduate careers are were looking for a great trip to end things off. Katherine was our travel agent and she got us the complete package at the Grand Bahia Principe in Jamaica. Great family vacation

Thanks again for your assistance in planning our trip! I can tell you that the trip was amazing all round. Our flight there was smooth and there was virtually no waiting in the airport once we arrived - no line ups at all.
My girls LOVED having the plunge pool and used it every day - they didn’t find it chilly at all. The extra expense for the plunge pool room was worth it for us.
The food was great, the beach was amazing, and the staff was out of this world friendly. Some of them honestly went out of their way to do nice little things for us and we loved our time with them. There were a few staff who even recognized us from last year - it was like seeing old friends.
The return flight was also smooth
