Many people ask me, “What is your favorite vacation?”  I can answer very quickly! My family loves cruising! It is relaxing, exhilarating, cultural, cost effective, and the best time for our family to reconnect and make memories.  We live close to the Galveston Port which is home to several Carnival Cruise Ships with a 4th being added in 2021 and two Royal Caribbean ships who will soon be bringing in one of their Oasis Class ships which are some of the largest in the industry.   Galveston is also home to the Disney Wonder from November to January most seasons. We have had the opportunity to sail on almost all of them! 

Cruising has fast become one of the most popular vacation options in travel over the past 10 years. There are many ports throughout the world so it allows one to explore many cultures in one vacation.  It also provides fun for the entire family from the little ones to the seniors! I enjoy working with my clients to match the perfect cruising option for their family. It is so much more than just picking a place or ship.  Different cruise lines offer different types of vacations and amenities onboard. Each has their unique spin on cruising so it is important for me to customize my clients’ vacations to their needs.  

One of my favorite aspects of cruising is the staff.  The culinary staff takes such pride in their work as they create many wonderful meals.  Some meals are themed to a specific night, or create dishes that are specific to the port they are in that particular day. They even cater to many dietary needs.   It is amazing and the best part is you can try it all!  

In addition, the ships Cruise Directors create fun activities for the whole family.  Trivia games, bingo, wine tasting, behind the scenes tours and so much more are offered throughout your cruise.  Wait – there is more! World class spas to relax and rejuvenate and some ships have activities on board like water coasters, go karts, outdoor movies, rock climbing walls and laser tag.   I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the entertainment. Broadway style shows with fantastic performances like Jersey Boys, and Mama Mia can be seen on most ships. Did I mention – they are included!
