The beauty of Lake George NY

I've been planning travel for myself, my family, and friends for most of my life. My love of travel started with my dad, a marketing manager who traveled often and always came home with a trinket or T-shirt from wherever he'd been. As a teenager, I traveled with him to England and Ireland, then returned after high school with a friend for a train trip through both countries. Later, attending a French cooking school took me to France, and working in the hotel industry after graduation gave me the opportunity to experience Hawaii. Then I married into a family of Disney fans, and travel became a huge part of our family life. Over the past 30 years, I've visited Walt Disney World more than 20 times and also traveled to Disneyland. I've helped plan everything from extended-family Disney vacations for 23 people to trips for just the four of us, including the little details like connecting rooms that can make a family vacation work so much better.Our other family passion is baseball, which turned into road trips throughout the country. For us, getting there is part of the vacation. We've built trips around ballparks, interesting stops along the way, and places we might never have visited otherwise. I especially enjoy helping travelers discover vacations that don't require getting on an airplane. Lake George and the Adirondacks have also been our home away from home for roughly 20 years. It's a destination I know from actually returning year after year not just from looking it up in a booking system and one of my favorite places to share with other travelers. More recently, cruising has become another love, especially Virgin Voyages. I've sailed multiple Virgin voyages, experienced different ships and itineraries firsthand, and was recognized as a Top Producer for Virgin Voyages in 2025. I became a professional travel adviser in 2023, but I've been the person everyone asks about vacations for decades. I know that the "perfect vacation" isn't the same for everyone. Some travelers want theme parks from morning until night; others want to sit on a cruise ship balcony and watch the ocean. Some love flying across the world, while others would much rather drive or take the train. I believe the best trip is the one that works for you.
