Experiencing Cowboys football in Texas is an experience all its own, and I love helping travelers build an entire getaway around a game or event.When it’s time to trade the city for the water, Texas has plenty to offer there, too. I’ve spent time along the Gulf Coast enjoying the beaches of Galveston and South Padre Island, each offering a completely different Texas beach experience. Galveston is also a fantastic place to begin a cruise, and I’ve personally experienced cruises departing from Texas, giving me firsthand insight into the excitement of turning a Texas getaway into a cruise vacation.For a more laid-back Texas adventure, New Braunfels is one of my favorite places to experience the outdoors. I’ve floated the river there and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere that makes the area such a popular Texas destination. There’s something special about spending a warm Texas day on the water, surrounded by friends and family, and simply enjoying the day.South Padre Island is another Texas favorite of mine. I’ve experienced its beautiful beaches firsthand and understand why it’s such a popular destination for travelers looking for sunshine, water, relaxation, and a little Texas beach-town fun.What I love most about Texas travel is the variety. You can spend one trip exploring the energy of Dallas and Fort Worth, cheering on the Cowboys in Arlington, floating a river in New Braunfels, relaxing on the beaches of South Padre Island, enjoying Galveston, or heading out on a cruise from the Texas coast.
