About Me

Love the Med!
Love the Med!

Hi, I’m Tammy Esteves, founder and head travel coach at TraVida Travel — because TraVida means ‘travel is life.’ At TraVida, I believe travel is not just a trip — it’s a way of life. Every journey is as unique as the traveler, filled with moments that become memories. We design travel experiences that connect people to places, to culture, to self, because we know that meaningful travel shapes who we are and how we live. Each experience is a chance to reconnect with wonder, celebrate joy, explore with purpose, and create moments that linger long after the suitcases are unpacked. Whether it’s a spiritual retreat, an eco-adventure, a family getaway, or a trip that gives back, Travida designs travel that is meaningful, magical, and completely you.

I understand travel being all these things, because they have been all those things for me. Traveling solo and quietly to heal after losing my daughter. Traveling crazy and hectic with a bunch of high school students to learn about leadership in London, Normandy, Paris, and Oxford, or doing a mission trip in Norway. Taking college students to Amsterdam and Costa Rica, and soon to Bali. Traveling three weeks solo by rail in Europe (in my 50s, I might add).

Recently, someone asked me, "Where is your favorite place to go?" and I initially shared some of the places I have enjoyed. Barcelona, Sitges, Lucca, Edinburgh. Most of these favorite places are due to the experiences I had. Barcelona - the majesty of La Sagrada Familia. Sitges - spending three days solo on the coast of Spain after a whirlwind three-week solo trip in Europe, not to mention the three-hour private cooking class I had because no one else signed up, and the Chef did the class with just me. Edinburgh - for hearing bagpipes as I left the station, or taking an Outlander tour, and having my picture taken in front of Lollybroch. Cruises where I took each of my daughters on a mother-daughter cruise when they turned 21. Travel is indeed life, and it is those moments that become memories. Ultimately, though, my answer to the question of "where is your favorite place to go" is actually, "the one I haven't been to yet."

For these reasons and more, I don’t just book vacations — I design transformational journeys that are personal, purpose-driven, and memory-making. I specialize in cruises, group travel, retreats, and adventures — for those looking to explore their faith, nurture their wellness, celebrate their big milestones, or just travel with deeper meaning. Group and incentive travel is my sweet spot — from women’s retreats and team getaways to family reunions and faith-based journeys. And for any group of 20 or more, I donate part of my commission to the charity of your choice — because I believe travel should give back, too. I also have a heart for military, first responders, and teachers — serving those who serve others with travel that refreshes and inspires. My ideal clients? Dreamers, doers, and difference-makers — people who crave connection, whether it’s with people, purpose, or peace. And for those with big dreams, I am creating a Seven Continents Challenge — a personalized passport to explore the world, one meaningful journey at a time. I may be new to the travel business, but I am not new to travel. So, if you’re ready to travel with purpose, or know someone who is, I’m ready to help you get there.

Reviewed By CTKirby25 - Orlando, FL | Traveled to Nassau | Bahamas | Caribbean
Tammy was a dream to work with. I had a specific destination in mind as well as a time of year, and she was able to find me multiple cruises that fit within my required criteria. Her response times are top notch, and I never felt like I had to wait for a response. It also helps that Tammy has been to so many places - she’s so knowledgeable and has great connections! Will definitely travel with her in the future. 1000/10 would recommend.

How a River Cruise on the Lower Danube Changed Me

As travel advisors, we often talk about creating unforgettable experiences for our clients. We spend hours comparing itineraries, evaluating cruise lines, researching hotels, and recommending excursions. But every once in a while, a journey reminds us why we fell in love with travel in the first place. My recent voyage along the Lower Dan...

Alaska in Winter:Why it Might Be Even More Magical

Most travelers think of Alaska as a summer cruise destination, but after spending several days exploring Alaska in winter, I discovered something unexpected: winter may be the most magical time to experience the Last Frontier. Snow-covered mountains, dogsled teams racing through the forest, flightseeing around Denali, and even the Northern Light...

Israel: Seeing the Road I've Always Read

In January 2026, I had the profound privilege of traveling to Israel — a land where faith, history, culture, and modern complexity converge in ways that are difficult to fully capture in words. From the moment our plane entered Israeli airspace to my final moments standing at the Jordan River, this journey was layered with meaning and discovery....
