As someone who was born and raised in Washington, DC, and has proudly called our nation's capital home for more than 40 years, I love helping travelers experience the city beyond the postcards. Washington, DC isn't just where I live—it's where I've made lifelong memories, celebrated local traditions, and discovered hidden gems that make every visit unforgettable.Whether you're visiting for the first time or returning to see more, I can help you create an itinerary that blends the iconic landmarks with the neighborhoods and local experiences that many visitors miss.No trip to Washington, DC is complete without exploring the city's world-famous monuments and memorials. From the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument to the U.S. Capitol and the White House, these historic sites tell the story of our nation while offering incredible photo opportunities day and night. One of the things I love most about DC is its incredible collection of museums. The Smithsonian museums are among the best in the world—and many are free to visit. Whether you're fascinated by history at the National Museum of American History, inspired by the National Air and Space Museum, captivated by the National Museum of African American History and Culture, or exploring art at the National Gallery of Art, there's truly something for every interest and every age.I also enjoy helping visitors discover the city through guided tours. Whether it's a hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tour, a walking tour through historic Georgetown, a nighttime monuments tour, or a scenic cruise along the Potomac River, there are countless ways to experience DC from a fresh perspective.Sports fans will feel right at home in Washington. Cheer on the Washington Commanders during football season, catch the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park, watch the Washington Capitals light up the ice, or experience the excitement of a Washington Wizards basketball game. If soccer is your passion, DC United and the Washington Spirit provide exciting matches throughout the season.Beyond the famous attractions, I encourage travelers to experience the city's unique neighborhoods. Stroll the charming streets of Georgetown, explore the vibrant waterfront at The Wharf, enjoy shopping and dining in Penn Quarter, or spend an afternoon browsing local markets and enjoying the diverse culinary scene. From international cuisine to classic half-smokes and locally owned restaurants, Washington, DC offers flavors from around the world. Each season brings something special to the city. Spring welcomes the breathtaking National Cherry Blossom Festival, summer is filled with outdoor concerts and festivals, fall offers beautiful foliage and comfortable sightseeing weather, and winter transforms the city with festive holiday displays and seasonal events. My goal is to make planning your Washington, DC vacation easy, enjoyable, and personalized. Whether you're interested in history, museums, family adventures, sports, food, nightlife, or simply checking iconic landmarks off your bucket list, I'll help you design an itinerary that matches your travel style and interests. After more than four decades of living in Washington, DC, I still find new reasons to fall in love with this incredible city—and I can't wait to help you discover why so many visitors leave already planning their next trip. Let me help you experience Washington, DC like a local and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Took the kids on a week-long trip to Wash, DC during the summer. All I can say is the trip wasn't long enough. Thanks to Cherie, we were able to visit multiple museums, catch a baseball game, and even take the short ride to Arlington Cemetery, in Virginia, but we will have to go back to see more.

Tired out the kids
Reviewed By DisneyRocks - Smyrna, DE | Traveled to Walt Disney World | Florida | USA
The Disney parks in Florida truly have something for everyone. Our days were so full of fun and excitement that even our 14 year old put their phone away for 3 whole days. The multi-park passes are a must, and sleep comes easily at the end of the day. Thanks Cherie for helping make our family vacation one for the history books.
