About Me

Hoi An, Vietnam Lantern Festival
Hoi An, Vietnam Lantern Festival

Close your eyes for a moment and picture this: you wake up to the sound of temple bells, warm tropical air coming through the window, the scent of incense and frangipani flowers, and a brilliant blue sky overhead. Somewhere nearby, you hear a rooster, a motorbike passes along a quiet road, and beyond it all are endless green rice fields.

Welcome to Bali.

Bali is one of those places that is difficult to explain until you've actually experienced it. There is something about this island that stays with you long after you've left. It's the people, the spirituality, the scenery, the food and those little unexpected moments that you simply can't plan for.

The Balinese people are incredibly warm and welcoming. Spirituality and community are woven into everyday life, and you'll see beautiful flower and incense offerings outside homes and businesses each morning. Traditional ceremonies bring colour, music and celebration to the streets, while temples seem to appear everywhere from quiet villages to dramatic cliff tops overlooking the ocean.

And then there are the beaches.

Whether you're looking for surfing and nightlife, a relaxing family-friendly beach, dramatic black sand, or a quieter hidden cove, Bali has something for you. Move inland and you'll discover another side of the island entirely the emerald rice terraces around Ubud, jungle waterfalls, ancient temples, volcanic landscapes and some truly unforgettable scenery.

And we can't forget the food. Fresh seafood, satay, fragrant curries, tropical fruit, local coffee and little family-run warungs serving recipes that have been passed down for generations. Some of my favourite meals in Bali have been in places that I would never have found in a typical guidebook.

That's what I love about Bali. The real magic often happens away from the obvious tourist spots. It's discovering a little restaurant down a side street, coming across a local ceremony, or finding a quiet stretch of beach where it's just you, the sand and the Indian Ocean.

And then there's Vietnam.

Vietnam is one of those destinations that surprises people. It's vibrant, colourful, fascinating and, in my opinion, still underrated by many travellers.

From the moment you arrive, there is energy everywhere. Motorbikes weave through the streets, markets are bustling and the smell of incredible food seems to follow you around every corner. Pho, banh mi, fresh spring rolls, sizzling bánh xèo Vietnamese food is a huge part of the travel experience, and it's something I always encourage my clients to explore.

Vietnam's history and culture are just as impressive. You'll find ancient temples and pagodas alongside French colonial buildings, busy modern cities and quiet traditional villages. There is a wonderful mix of old and new that makes travelling through Vietnam so interesting.

And the scenery is spectacular.

Think limestone karsts rising out of emerald waters in Ha Long Bay, the lantern-filled streets of Hoi An, the mountains around Sapa and the beautiful coastline of Da Nang. In the evenings, Da Nang is especially fun, with rooftop restaurants and bars, warm ocean breezes and fantastic views across the city.

Whether you're travelling solo, with your family, as a couple or with friends, Vietnam offers an incredible range of experiences.

So where do I come in?

I've travelled extensively through both Bali and Vietnam, and I love being able to share that firsthand knowledge with my clients.

Maybe you want a completely organized land package where everything is taken care of. Perhaps you'd rather experience these destinations by cruise, or maybe you're an independent traveller who wants the freedom to do your own thing.

Whatever your travel style, I can help you put the right trip together.

For those who prefer to plan independently but want some expert guidance first, I also offer personal destination consultation sessions for a small fee. We can spend an hour talking through where to stay, what is actually worth doing, what I would skip, transportation, cultural tips, safety considerations, hidden gems and the practical details that can make a huge difference to your trip.

You'll come away with a personalized plan and, most importantly, the confidence of knowing you're making decisions based on real experience rather than simply scrolling through hundreds of online reviews.

Because there's a big difference between reading about a destination and actually knowing it.

And these are two destinations I know and love. Bali and Vietnam are waiting. Let me help you experience them your way.
