Las Vegas offers far more choices than simply picking a hotel on the Strip.
The Strip may be the right fit for travelers who want major shows, casino resorts, nightlife, restaurants, and convenient access to headline attractions. Downtown Las Vegas offers a different atmosphere, with its own entertainment, dining, and historic character. Off-Strip resorts may appeal to travelers seeking more space, a quieter setting, or a different balance between relaxation and sightseeing.
Compare the complete cost of the stay. Resort fees, parking, transportation, dining, show tickets, and incidental charges can significantly change the final budget. A lower room rate is not necessarily the lower-cost option.
Pacing is important. A schedule filled with late dinners, shows, excursions, and nightlife may be exciting for some travelers but exhausting for others. Heat, walking distances, casino environments, mobility needs, and rest time should be considered before finalizing the itinerary.

Utopia Was a Blast, Solo and Not Alone
Utopia of the Seas was my first time on the ship, and my first time cruising solo, though I was sailing with friends. What I didn't expect was how easy it was to meet people. I connected with other LGBTQ+ cruisers and other solo travelers onboard, and by day two I had a group to eat with, hang with and close down the night with. I never actually felt on my own. Crazy Quest was an absolute blast and probably the most fun I've had on a cruise. The new Royal Beach Club at Nassau was a highlight, and Hideaway was exactly the afternoon I needed. I tried the Dining Package for the first time and it was completely worth it, five restaurants and every one delivered: Chops, Giovanni's Italian Restaurant, The Mason Jar, Hooked and 150 Central Park. Special thanks to Valentina at Chops, who took such good care of us that I would book the package again just for that. Already thinking about the next one.
