DESTINATIONS VISITED:Ohio
PLACES VISITED:
SUGGESTED DURATION:1 Days
A relaxed Lake Erie beach stop known for its wide sandy shoreline and open-water views. It’s a perfect place to slow down, wander, and take in the lake.
One of the biggest highlights here is the view of the historic offshore lighthouse, a true Great Lakes icon that adds a classic coastal feel to the entire experience and makes for a must-capture photo moment.
Along the beach, you’ll find natural driftwood scattered along the shoreline, volleyball nets for casual games, and even parasailing on active summer days. At the entrance, there’s a charming little free library stand for book swaps, along with buckets available for beach cleanup to help keep the shoreline beautiful.
A walk along the boardwalk and nearby trails offers scenic views of the dunes and lake before wrapping up with a local favorite nearby—Scooter’s World Famous Dawg House, known for quick bites and its famously oversized portions of fries.
These are truly no miss Ohio travel gems.

FINAL THOUGHTS
I knew I wouldn’t find palm trees, but I found so much more… a reminder that travel moments don’t have to be tropical to be unforgettable.
