I have been fortunate enough to spend several weeks traveling throughout Croatia, exploring its breathtaking coastline, historic cities, hidden islands, and vibrant culture firsthand. From arriving by yacht into ancient harbor towns to discovering quiet coves only accessible by tender, Croatia quickly became one of the most unforgettable destinations I have ever experienced. Every island has its own personality, charm, and rhythm, blending centuries of history with crystal-clear waters, exceptional cuisine, and an unmistakably luxurious Mediterranean atmosphere.

Croatia is truly one of Europe’s gems, boasting some of the sunniest weather in the Mediterranean with an average of 10–13 hours of sunshine each day during the summer season. What captivated me most was the incredible contrast the country offers — one moment you are wandering through medieval stone streets rich with history, and the next you are swimming in impossibly turquoise waters surrounded by untouched nature reserves and dramatic limestone cliffs.

The country is filled with UNESCO World Heritage Sites, ancient fortresses, Roman ruins, national parks, and picturesque fishing villages that feel frozen in time. Fans of the television series Game of Thrones will immediately recognize many iconic filming locations, as Croatia famously served as King’s Landing and several other locations throughout the series. Walking through these historic streets in person is truly surreal.

One of the most magical experiences I had was visiting the world-famous Plitvice Lakes National Park. The park feels almost otherworldly, with cascading waterfalls, wooden pathways winding through lush forests, crystal-clear lakes in every shade of emerald and blue, and hidden caverns tucked into the landscape. Seeing the chain of sixteen interconnected lakes flowing into one another was absolutely mesmerizing and unlike anything I had ever seen before.

Croatia has also become one of the Mediterranean’s premier luxury destinations, attracting jet setters, yacht enthusiasts, celebrities, and travelers from around the world. Along the coast you will find glamorous beach clubs, chic waterfront restaurants, luxury hotels, and lively nightlife scenes balanced perfectly alongside centuries-old architecture and authentic Croatian culture. It is this unique blend of old-world charm and modern luxury that makes Croatia so special.One of my favorite destinations was the incredible coastal city of Split.

Split has an energy unlike anywhere else — a vibrant waterfront city where ancient history and modern Mediterranean living seamlessly come together. I spent days wandering the old town, dining along the marina, and escaping by boat to hidden beaches and nearby islands.
