About Me

The beauty of Maine
The beauty of Maine

Portland Maine is a city where oysters and lobster rolls are practically a birthright, it's a beautiful coastal area, with craft beers and amazing food. Portland is Maine's largest city.

The Old Port District & Waterfront is an old part of Portland, some of the buildings date back to the late 16-1700's, so the buildings are quite charming for their old age. The architecture is amazing! There's cobblestones roads & it's just a picturesque landscape.

You can go on boat tours, whale watch and take historical tours on the old fire-trucks.

Food : Dimillos  On The Water- Wonderful seafood restaurant on the Portland Ferry. Also, try Duck Fat get their crispy duck fat soaked fries, they are tasty! Eventide is an amazing seafood restaurant. Get their Oysters. They are so fresh & delicious. The Holy Donut: It's an iconic Donut shop that's expanded to other locations but, if you travel to Maine, you must have a donut. They are phenominal. I am obsessed. They use fresh ingredients. Chocolate Sea Salt is my favorite!

Hardshore Distillary offers tasty has excellent whiskey.

If you happen to be in the area on a Wednesday or Saturday mornings head over to Deering Oaks Park to visit Portland's Farmers Market. It's a good spot to enjoy nature as well and enjoy a walk.

Fort Williams Park & Portland Head Light - Has a calm vibe, it's more low key, relaxed area. You can see the historic Portland Headlight, which is the light-house built in 1791. It was commissioned by George Washington himself. It does cost $2 for 2 hour parking. It's a scenic area that is so calming. At Fort Williams Park there are tons of trails  to explore & there is a playground there for the kids & locals to enjoy. There are nearby abandoned forts that were used to defend the harbor from potential naval attacks in the 18th and 19th century's.

Take a history walking tour, or go out on Lobster Cruises, where they take you to  go lobster catching! You can even purchase a lobster right off the boat where you can take it across the street to get it cooked for you. It was 2 lobsters for $25 and only $11.99 for them to cook it with all the fixings, which was pretty reasonable.

West End Neighborhood has some impressive architecture to check out! Victorian Era homes that need to be seen, there's even the Victorian Mansion that's a true gem. There are guided tours that teach you about it's history. It's ornate & amazing.

Also, check out the Portland Museum of Art, there's works of wonder an amazement at every turn, that's tasteful & well done.

Next, see Congress Street, it's filled with cafes & places to shop. Check out Maincraft Portland has a wide range of items from apparel, jewlry to items for the home. The artist really put care and quality into their work.

Monument Square  is home to the statue" Our Lady of Victories" and is built to commemorate the soldiers who lost their lives during the Civil War.

Old Orchard Beach- It has a famous pier and a waterfront amusement park the pier opened in 1898. There's food, dessert & fun around other corner.

Damariscotta- You can enjoy Oysters and learn all about the Oyster Industry while sipping good wine.  Capacity has a farm to table experience or try a Kabutcha Bar in town.

For a great camping experience try Lake Pemaquid, and visit the Pemaquid Light-house.

Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, has the tallest Mountain on the east coast with the Porcupine Islands off in the distance. It's a unique nature filled landscape that's accessible to all. Jordan Pond is a special spot. You have an amazing view, it's such a calm atmosphere. You can see a lot of seals around this area. Bass Harbor Headlight is another beautiful light-house to see. It has a red light so it can be seen by boaters across the water. The area is also dog friendly, so bring your dogs along for the walk too!

Reviewed By Aaron545 - Texas | Traveled to Australia | Australia & New Zealand
My cousins and I took a Family Trip to Carins Austraillia and we had so much fun. Fun doesn't begin to describe it. We rode in a helicopter and saw the views and saw the land from above which was spectacular. We scuba dived and saw the marine life in the Austrailia waters. On the land we rode the Ferris Wheels and met locals around the area. It was an amazing bonding expierence. Krystal told us to check out Carins Markets and we went to local fairs that had works of art and souvineers to remember our travels. We had an amazing adventure and Krystal was so professional. She is our chosen advisor for life!

Krystal made my trip effortless. She put me in a Hotel with a Casino and me and a few buds booked our travel through her and she is fantastic. We gambled. I got back more than I put in. We went on rides at the top of the Strat, ate good food. Met some cool people and Krystal arranged for a personal welcome at the Hotel and she was just wonderful to work with. She is an amazing advisor!

Navigating The Big Apple, New York City
Krystal has been an excellent Travel Advisor,& she will advise all the trips I go on from here on out. I decided to drive to NYC on a whim & it was the most cost efficient way to get there, so I rented a car from Enterprise. Once I got there I checked into my Hotel, and stayed in The Marriott Marquis. A modern hotel in Broadway, New York I had a clean and cozy room that had breathtaking views of the city surrounding the hotel. At Krystal's recommendation I went to Summit One Vanderbilt, its an amazing observation deck, and has a stunning view of the city, the Empire Sate Building is in site and is an excellent place to get on the platform & get some photos. I ate at Los Tacos No. 1 in Chelsea Market and I can't forget the Taco's that Krystal suggested, and walking the High Line and The American Museum of National History was spectacular. She pointed out shopping areas and places like walking through China Town, and seeing the Statue of Liberty. It's something you must see. I had fun!
