About Me

Bali Indonesia
Bali Indonesia

Bali is a place that is continuously evolving, a vibrant blend of ancient tradition and modern energy. For me, it truly earns its reputation as the "Island of the Gods." If you're planning a journey here, I’ve put together a few of my favorite spots and some essential "know before you go" tips to help you navigate this paradise.

Sun, Surf, and Waterfalls:My journey usually starts where the land meets the sea. Kuta Beach is a stunning stretch of sand; while you’ll see natural driftwood washing up, it remains a beautiful space and the ultimate playground for surfers. If you’re a beginner looking to catch your first wave, this is the place to do it.For a change of pace, head inland to the Tegenungan Waterfall. It’s a breathtaking sight, but keep these tips in mind:Hours: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM.

Pro Tip: Go early in the morning! By the afternoon, the heat brings out the crowds.

There are local shops where you can go and see surf instructors that can teach you how to surf, if its a good day.

The "Cash is King" Rule: You’ll need about $2 USD (in Rupiah) for the ticket booth. Cards aren't widely accepted here,or in many parts of Bali,so always carry cash.

What to do: Walk down the steps to feel the mist, or head to the Glass Sky Bridge overhead for a luxury view. Don't forget your swim trunks; you’ll want to cross the bamboo bridge and get into the river. There’s even a spring with holy water where you can experience the local spiritual connection to the land.

Spiritual Immersion: You can’t visit Bali without experiencing its temples. TirtaEmpul (which means "Holy Water") is a sacred spring created by the god Indra over 1,000 years ago.

Note on Respect: When visiting temples, you must wear a sarong. Don't worry about packing one; they provide them at the entrance and must be worn as a sign of respect.

At TirtaEmpul, you can see the spring bubbling up from the earth into a "Holy Pond." While the water is used for ritual purification pools, I'd suggest admiring the beauty rather than drinking it! Afterward, wander through the nearby markets for local snacks and crafts.

The Heart of Ubud:If you're looking for a home base, Ubud is my top recommendation. Known as the "Village of Medicine," it’s a hub for healing and inspiration.

Tegallalang Rice Terrace: A relaxing, breathtaking space where you can watch farmers harvesting rice. For the adventurous, there are rope swings that make for an incredible photo mid-air.

Ubud Palace: An inspiring site steeped in history. Legend says the King still resides there, and it’s a magnet for those who love ghost tales and stories of medicinal healing.Ubud Market: Located right across from the palace, this is the spot for keepsakes and local treasures. If you get hungry, look for the BBQ stall inside the market, it's a local favorite.

Places to eat like a local :  Nasi Tempory Indra, In It can be crazy busy. They make a drink called Es Jeruk Manis it’s a sweet and tart orange drink. They have 4.5 stars and are popular in the area. They have spicy sambal to try. They have a duck dish that is fried called Nasi Tempong Bebek and has a rich flavor, and it’s all made fresh, fried fish dish called Nasi Tempong Ikan Laut and it’s flaky, crip and delicious.

Another place the locals love is Ayam Betutu Kulwagara , The Ayam Betutu they have fried and roasted with chicken. The chicken is super flavorful and tender. Their Sambal Malta is refreshing. Their Chicken Sate has a strong flavor a lemongrass and garlic flavor that's amazing. The Ayam Bebtutu Kampung is delicious, juicy, and the marinade is packed with flavor. They have a 5 star rating. Any piece of chicken you get will be delicious. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed.

There is also places where you can go grab mexican and get a taco, or japanese restaurants where you can eat inside, cool off and enjoy their dishes. There's even fusion places to try.

Family Fun : For Family fun the Bali Zoo is a must. Beyond the animals, they have an indoor adventure park that offers a beautiful, immersive experience to keep the little ones entertained while escaping the midday sun.

Final Travel Advice: Bali is a place of rivers, rainforests, and ritual. Come with an open heart, a pair of walking shoes, and plenty of cash in your pocket!

My cousins and I took a Family Trip to Carins Austraillia and we had so much fun. Fun doesn't begin to describe it. We rode in a helicopter and saw the views and saw the land from above which was spectacular. We scuba dived and saw the marine life in the Austrailia waters. On the land we rode the Ferris Wheels and met locals around the area. It was an amazing bonding expierence. Krystal told us to check out Carins Markets and we went to local fairs that had works of art and souvineers to remember our travels. We had an amazing adventure and Krystal was so professional. She is our chosen advisor for life!

Krystal made my trip effortless. She put me in a Hotel with a Casino and me and a few buds booked our travel through her and she is fantastic. We gambled. I got back more than I put in. We went on rides at the top of the Strat, ate good food. Met some cool people and Krystal arranged for a personal welcome at the Hotel and she was just wonderful to work with. She is an amazing advisor!

Navigating The Big Apple, New York City
Krystal has been an excellent Travel Advisor,& she will advise all the trips I go on from here on out. I decided to drive to NYC on a whim & it was the most cost efficient way to get there, so I rented a car from Enterprise. Once I got there I checked into my Hotel, and stayed in The Marriott Marquis. A modern hotel in Broadway, New York I had a clean and cozy room that had breathtaking views of the city surrounding the hotel. At Krystal's recommendation I went to Summit One Vanderbilt, its an amazing observation deck, and has a stunning view of the city, the Empire Sate Building is in site and is an excellent place to get on the platform & get some photos. I ate at Los Tacos No. 1 in Chelsea Market and I can't forget the Taco's that Krystal suggested, and walking the High Line and The American Museum of National History was spectacular. She pointed out shopping areas and places like walking through China Town, and seeing the Statue of Liberty. It's something you must see. I had fun!
