About Me

Northern Ireland is a place for everyone. Whether you’re a history buff, a nature lover, or a solo explorer, this corner of the UK offers a grand adventure at every turn. From the rugged basalt columns of the coast to the warm, flour-dusted "Baps" of a Belfast market, here is how to experience the heart of the North.

The North Coast: The Giant’s Causeway is a geological marvel of 40,000 interlocking basalt columns. It’s a humbling experience that earned its World Heritage status in 1986. Expert Tip: Arrive early to beat the crowds; there is convenient parking at the Visitor’s Center and the Causeway Hotel.

If you have a head for heights, the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is essential. Suspended 100 feet above the Atlantic, the crossing is a thrill that rewards you with breathtaking scenery. Nearby, Dunluce Castle clings to the cliffs as a haunting medieval stronghold, while the Old Bushmills Distillery offers a journey through the history of the world's oldest licensed whiskey producer.

The Belfast Culinary Experience: Belfast is a city that speaks through its food. To start your day like a local, head to The Mad Hatter. This hospitable café is famous for the Ulster Fry, a hearty plate of sausages, bacon, tomato, and pancakes, finished with a "dippy egg" and soda bread to mop up every last bit.

Little Italy, is a local pizzeria you must try. Delicious slices of heaven for the pizza lover.

Kamakura, is the place to try for their own authentic Ramen dishes.

The Market & Local Staples: If you’re visiting on a weekend or weekday it doesn't matter, St. George’s Market is an absolute must. They have everything. The Belfast Bap: For a massive appetite, this is the ultimate breakfast. It’s a huge, flour-dusted roll packed with sausage, bacon, eggs, and black pudding.

Dulse: For the adventurous, try this salted seaweed snack. It’s healthy, full of nutrients, and a true local favorite. You haven't truly visited until you've tried Tayto Potato Crips, they are local potato chips. Cheese and Onion is the iconic flavor that locals swear by. For a sweet fix, stop by Sawers, They have a 4.7 star rating,. Their sandwiches are delicious, but you must try a Fifteen. This local treat, named for using 15 of each ingredient like marshmallows, cherries, and digestive biscuits, tastes like a cherry-infused rice crispy treat and usually costs around $4.00. If you prefer old-school candy, The Old Time Famous Sweet Shop offers an array of nostalgic treats, some even iconic to Northern Ireland. For dinner, Darcy’s, in Belfast, is legendary for traditional Irish dishes with a modern twist. Their Lamb Stew is the definition of comfort food. It;s wholesome and hearty. If it’s Fish & Chips you crave, head to The Supreme for a Belfast Pastie,a local delicacy of minced meat and potato, battered and fried to crispy perfection.

The Rite of Passage: For the brew lovers, ordering a Guinness in Northern Ireland is a mandatory ritual. It’s an art form here, watch the "two-part pour" and wait the required 119 seconds for it to settle. It’s a smooth, creamy right of passage for any traveler. Maddens Bar and Kelly Cellars. Kelly Cellars offers music and seating indoors and outdoors to enjoy a good brew.

History and City Life: In the city center, The Titanic Belfast offers a powerful look at the lives of those who built the "Ship of Dreams."Logistics Tip: The Titanic Quarter gets quiet after 6:00 PM. For a livelier experience, stay near the city center or Belfast Castle. You’ll be within walking distance of the best "craic" at spots like Madden’s Bar, Brittles, or Kelly’s Cellars.

Hidden Gems :Beyond the city, the Dark Hedges (the "Kings Road" to Game of Thrones fans) is an enchanting tunnel of ancient beech trees. Legend says the Grey Lady still haunts the road, so keep your eyes peeled!

Further along the coast, Ballintoy Harbour and Caves offers spectacular wildlife and limestone views.

Lesson Learned: I truly regretted not having a professional camera at Ballintoy, the light hitting the caves is a photographer’s dream. Don’t forget yours!

A Legacy of Resilience In Londonderry (Derry), walking the 400-year-old city walls provides a panoramic view of a city defined by its history and its sustainable future. The murals of the Bogside remain a poignant reminder of the city's heartbreaking past.

For a family-friendly afternoon, Carrickfergus Castle offers 800 years of stories, including ghost tales and ties to the American Revolution. If you want to see how daily life looked for generations past. It's amazing to expierence. The Ulster Folk & Transport Museum brings history to life in an immersive setting. The waterfalls of Glenariff Forest Park to the golden sands of Portstewart Strand, Northern Ireland is a paradise. You can walk along Portsteward Strand and The Antrim Coast, with your furry family member by your side.

The true beauty in Northern Ireland is getting to see it's historic beauty, and culture with unforgettable food, brew, and hospitable locals.

The Best Family Trip Ever!!
Reviewed By zombiequeen - Maryland | Traveled to Virginia Beach | Virginia | USA
I had a fantastic expierence with Krystal, she treated my family well and she will be the only Travel Agent that I will work with. I am a mom of two, and we wanted to go to Virgina Beach as a family Trip. She is a friend of the family and offered her assistance. She told me about the pony runs, a cute little shop for souviners called pony tails and gave excellent suggestions on places to eat. We ate good food, pizza and got saltwater taffy from pony tails and my children had fun at the beach and seeing the lighthouse that we got to go to the top of and see the view below. It was fantastic!
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.
