About Me

The Standard of Mountain Luxury

There is a distinct magic when you arrive in the Roaring Fork Valley. Aspen isn't just a ski town; it is a global cultural icon wrapped in a silver-mining history, where rugged Rocky Mountain wilderness meets unparalleled sophistication. Having personally skied the slopes and explored the historic streets of this high-alpine paradise, I don’t view Aspen as just another winter destination - I view it as an art form.

As a travel advisor specializing in premium mountain experiences, I design itineraries that capture Aspen’s legendary duality. Whether you are looking to conquer steep, powder-filled bowls or immerse yourself in world-class art, gastronomy, and nightlife, my firsthand insight ensures you experience the absolute best of this storied mountain retreat.

The Power of Four: A Masterclass on the Slopes

The true genius of the region is Aspen Snowmass - four distinct mountains spanning over 5,500 acres of terrain, all accessible on a single lift ticket. Having skied these peaks, I understand the unique personality, local flavor, and layout of each:

  • Aspen Mountain (Ajax): Rising directly out of downtown, the Silver Queen Gondola whisks you up 3,300 vertical feet in 14 minutes. This is a classic skier's mountain with absolutely no beginner terrain. I can guide advanced skiers to the legendary steeps of Walsh's, the newly expanded terrain of Hero’s, or the hidden local "shrines" tucked away in the glades.
  • Aspen Highlands: Known as the locals' favorite, this is the mountain for true adventurers. I can prepare my clients for the ultimate badge of honor: the hike up to the 12,392-foot summit of the Highland Bowl, rewarding you with some of the best double-black diamond turns in North America. Afterward, I always recommend booking a reservation at the legendary Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro for its famous European-style après-ski.
  • Snowmass: Massive and incredibly varied, Snowmass is bigger than the other three mountains combined. It is a haven for families and cruisers, featuring long, sweeping blue runs like Sneaky’s and Long Shot, alongside the thrilling drops of the Hanging Valley Wall for the experts.
  • Buttermilk: Famed as the home of the Winter X Games, Buttermilk is a masterclass in versatility. It offers wide, forgiving groomers perfect for beginners and children, alongside world-class terrain parks for freeriders looking to test their limits.

Beyond the Slopes: The Culture of Aspen

What truly elevates Aspen above any other ski resort in North America is the town itself. A historic 19th-century silver boomtown, it maintains a chic, walkable downtown grid filled with red-brick Victorian architecture and high-end energy.

My "Black Book" of town recommendations includes:

  • Arts & Heritage: I curate visits to the striking, Shigeru Ban-designed Aspen Art Museum and historical landmarks like the Wheeler Opera House. In the summer months, I pivot my clients toward the prestigious Aspen Music Festival or the serene John Denver Sanctuary along the Roaring Fork River.
  • The Culinary Scene: Aspen is a foodie paradise. From the legendary New American fine dining at Element 47 inside The Little Nell to the high-energy sushi at Matsuhisa, I secure the reservations that matter. For a cozy, local vibe, I point clients toward White House Tavern or the historic J-Bar at the Hotel Jerome.
  • Nightlife & Entertainment: No trip is complete without catching an intimate concert at Belly Up Aspen, a world-renowned 450-capacity venue that hosts massive global acts, right in the heart of town.

Year-Round Majesty: The Maroon Bells

While winter brings the powder, summer and autumn in Aspen are equally transformative. I customize warm-weather itineraries focused on the Maroon Bells, famously known as the most photographed peaks in North America. I handle the seasonal shuttle permits, recommend the best hiking loops around Maroon Lake, and coordinate scenic drives over Independence Pass - the highest paved pass in Colorado - offering jaw-dropping continental divide vistas.

Why Partner with an Aspen Specialist?

Aspen is a destination where logistics require precision. The difference between a standard vacation and an elevated winter expedition lies in the details. Knowing how to utilize the free, efficient RFTA ski shuttles so you never need a rental car, choosing the right base village for your travel style, securing ski-in/ski-out lodging, and matching your skiing ability to the right mountain are what I do best.

When you work with me, you are leveraging real, firsthand alpine experience. I take the complexity out of planning your Aspen getaway so that your only job is to step off the gondola, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and enjoy the perfect run.

Let’s use my tracks to carve out your own perfect Aspen legacy.

Our Bucket List Telluride Ski Trip
Reviewed By Matt S - Minneapolis, MN | Traveled to Telluride | Colorado | USA
Telluride has been on our bucket list forever, but since it's a bit off the beaten path, planning the trip was intimidating. Michael stepped in and made the whole process incredibly easy. He found us an awesome spot that made hitting the slopes a breeze and handled all the logistics seamlessly. Getting to Telluride can sometimes be a bit tricky with flight connections, but his timing was flawless and everything went off without a hitch. He also gave us some plenty of recommendations for après-ski and dining. It was easily the smoothest, most stress-free ski trip I’ve ever taken. Michael knows his stuff!

Cruise of a Lifetime!
Reviewed By Taylor & Jordan K. - Tempe, AZ | Traveled to Switzerland | Europe
We booked Viking’s Paris to the Swiss Alps cruise through Michael, and he made the entire experience completely effortless. Trying to coordinate all the moving parts between France, Germany, and Switzerland on our own would have been a massive project, but Michael handled every single piece of logistics. From sorting our flights out of Phoenix to setting up our hotel stays in Paris and Zürich, everything was locked in seamlessly. He gave us amazing tips for the river cruise portion along the Rhine and Moselle, which made our stops in Trier and Strasbourg even better. Thanks to him, we didn't have to stress about a single detail and just got to enjoy the castles, wine tastings, and alpine views. Thanks, Michael!

Corporate group travel made easy
Reviewed By David S. - Vancouver, BC | Traveled to Las Vegas | Nevada | USA
When I needed to get a core team of six down to a major conference in Las Vegas, I handed the logistics over to Michael. Group travel, even for a smaller executive team, usually involves a lot of moving parts, but Michael made the whole thing entirely stress-free. From coordinating our flights to booking an incredible, centrally located suite, his execution was flawless. He took care of all the scheduling and ground transfers seamlessly so my team could actually focus on our strategic goals for the week rather than tracking down missing rides or flight delays. Michael is highly efficient, professional, and took a massive administrative burden off my plate. If you need corporate travel handled right, he’s the guy to call. We will definitely be partnering with him for our future company trips.

Michael is a lifesaver for team travel!
Reviewed By J.R. Miller - Austin, TX | Traveled to Orlando | Florida | USA
Running a business in Austin keeps me moving a mile a minute, so when it came time to fly a team of 14 people out to a major conference in Orlando, I knew I couldn't handle the logistics alone. Group travel can easily turn into a total circus, but Michael stepped in and made the entire process completely seamless. From coordinating everyone's flights out of ABIA to securing a fantastic block of rooms right near the convention center, he didn't miss a single detail. He even arranged our group airport transfers so my team could just show up, hop in, and focus on the event. What I appreciated most was how he kept everything perfectly organized on our behalf, which saved me hours of administrative headaches and let me actually focus on our business goals for the week. If you're a business owner or manage a corporate team, do yourself a favor and let Michael handle your travel. He’s efficient, reliable, and just great to work with.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

The Perfect Paris Honeymoon
Reviewed By Ryan & Lindsay M. - Calgary, AB | Traveled to Paris | France | Europe
After the chaos of wedding planning, my new spouse and I just wanted an amazing, stress-free honeymoon in Paris. We had a rough idea of what we wanted to see, but trying to figure out the best neighborhood to stay in and how to map out the days was a lot. Michael completely took the wheel and crushed it. He sorted our flights out perfectly so we didn't arrive totally destroyed by jet lag, and he found us the most charming boutique hotel that was within walking distance of basically everything. What we loved most was how casual and balanced the itinerary felt. He booked us our must-see spots, like the Eiffel Tower, but left plenty of open time for us to just wander around, sit at sidewalk cafés, and actually enjoy being newlyweds without rushing from place to place. Michael made our dream honeymoon so easy and special. If you're planning a big trip, honestly, just let Michael handle it!
