About Me

From the first light hitting the Peak of Whistler to the last call in a bustling village bistro, Whistler, British Columbia, is more than just a destination - it is a global benchmark for alpine excellence. As a travel professional who has traversed the 8,171 acres of this massive coastal terrain across every season, I offer my clients a perspective rooted in deep, firsthand experience. I don’t just know the map; I know the soul of the village and the secrets of the mountainside.

The Winter Authority

For those who live for the snow, Whistler Blackcomb is North America’s undisputed crown jewel. Having skied both mountains extensively, I understand how to navigate the largest ski resort on the continent to ensure you spend more time on the snow and less time in line. My winter expertise includes:

  • Terrain Mastery: Whether you are looking for the open powder bowls of the Seventh Heaven zone, the technical steeps of the Saudan Couloir, or the perfectly manicured cruisers of the Emerald Express, I can tailor your daily routes to match your skill and the day's conditions.
  • Signature Olympic Thrills: My experience extends beyond the planks. Having personally braved the Whistler Sliding Centre, I can guide you through the adrenaline-pumping experience of the public bobsleigh program - reaching speeds of 125+ km/hr on the world’s fastest ice track.
  • The Village Vibe: Staying in the pedestrian-only village is an art form. I have vetted the top-tier accommodations, from the landmark luxury of the Fairmont Chateau Whistler in the Upper Village to the slopeside convenience of the Westin Resort & Spa, ensuring your "home base" perfectly complements your itinerary.

A Four-Season Masterclass

While the skiing is legendary, Whistler’s transformation in the warmer months is equally spectacular. My year-round visits have allowed me to curate a "best-of" list for summer and shoulder seasons:

  • Dining & Gastronomy: Whistler’s culinary scene rivals major metropolitan hubs. I’ve dined across the spectrum, from the refined French-inspired plates at Bearfoot Bistro (complete with their famous vodka ice room) to the award-winning Pacific Northwest cuisine at Araxi. I can secure the right table for a celebratory multi-course meal or point you toward the best hidden patio for a casual lakeside lunch.
  • The Peak 2 Peak Experience: I help clients maximize the record-breaking PEAK 2 Peak Gondola, connecting them to over 50km of high-alpine hiking trails, ancient glaciers, and the breathtaking Cloudraker Skybridge.
  • Adventure Beyond the Slopes: From the tranquil waters of Lost Lake and Alta Lake to the high-flying ziplines over Fitzsimmons Creek, I know how to balance high-octane adventure with moments of mountain serenity.

Why Partner With a Whistler Insider?

Planning a trip to a resort of this scale can be overwhelming. As a specialist who has "done it all" - from the bobsleigh track to the finest tasting menus - I remove the guesswork. I provide the "local wisdom" that only comes from years of repeat visits: which gondola to take at 8:30 AM, where to find the best après-ski live music, and how to navigate the village like a seasoned regular.

Whistler is a place of superlatives, and you deserve a vacation that lives up to its reputation. Let me use my lifetime of travel expertise and my personal passion for the Sea-to-Sky corridor to design a British Columbia escape that is as seamless as it is unforgettable.

Our Bucket List Telluride Ski Trip
Reviewed By Matt S - Minneapolis, MN | Traveled to Telluride | Colorado | USA
Telluride has been on our bucket list forever, but since it's a bit off the beaten path, planning the trip was intimidating. Michael stepped in and made the whole process incredibly easy. He found us an awesome spot that made hitting the slopes a breeze and handled all the logistics seamlessly. Getting to Telluride can sometimes be a bit tricky with flight connections, but his timing was flawless and everything went off without a hitch. He also gave us some plenty of recommendations for après-ski and dining. It was easily the smoothest, most stress-free ski trip I’ve ever taken. Michael knows his stuff!

Cruise of a Lifetime!
Reviewed By Taylor & Jordan K. - Tempe, AZ | Traveled to Switzerland | Europe
We booked Viking’s Paris to the Swiss Alps cruise through Michael, and he made the entire experience completely effortless. Trying to coordinate all the moving parts between France, Germany, and Switzerland on our own would have been a massive project, but Michael handled every single piece of logistics. From sorting our flights out of Phoenix to setting up our hotel stays in Paris and Zürich, everything was locked in seamlessly. He gave us amazing tips for the river cruise portion along the Rhine and Moselle, which made our stops in Trier and Strasbourg even better. Thanks to him, we didn't have to stress about a single detail and just got to enjoy the castles, wine tastings, and alpine views. Thanks, Michael!

Corporate group travel made easy
Reviewed By David S. - Vancouver, BC | Traveled to Las Vegas | Nevada | USA
When I needed to get a core team of six down to a major conference in Las Vegas, I handed the logistics over to Michael. Group travel, even for a smaller executive team, usually involves a lot of moving parts, but Michael made the whole thing entirely stress-free. From coordinating our flights to booking an incredible, centrally located suite, his execution was flawless. He took care of all the scheduling and ground transfers seamlessly so my team could actually focus on our strategic goals for the week rather than tracking down missing rides or flight delays. Michael is highly efficient, professional, and took a massive administrative burden off my plate. If you need corporate travel handled right, he’s the guy to call. We will definitely be partnering with him for our future company trips.

Michael is a lifesaver for team travel!
Reviewed By J.R. Miller - Austin, TX | Traveled to Orlando | Florida | USA
Running a business in Austin keeps me moving a mile a minute, so when it came time to fly a team of 14 people out to a major conference in Orlando, I knew I couldn't handle the logistics alone. Group travel can easily turn into a total circus, but Michael stepped in and made the entire process completely seamless. From coordinating everyone's flights out of ABIA to securing a fantastic block of rooms right near the convention center, he didn't miss a single detail. He even arranged our group airport transfers so my team could just show up, hop in, and focus on the event. What I appreciated most was how he kept everything perfectly organized on our behalf, which saved me hours of administrative headaches and let me actually focus on our business goals for the week. If you're a business owner or manage a corporate team, do yourself a favor and let Michael handle your travel. He’s efficient, reliable, and just great to work with.

The Perfect Paris Honeymoon
Reviewed By Ryan & Lindsay M. - Calgary, AB | Traveled to Paris | France | Europe
After the chaos of wedding planning, my new spouse and I just wanted an amazing, stress-free honeymoon in Paris. We had a rough idea of what we wanted to see, but trying to figure out the best neighborhood to stay in and how to map out the days was a lot. Michael completely took the wheel and crushed it. He sorted our flights out perfectly so we didn't arrive totally destroyed by jet lag, and he found us the most charming boutique hotel that was within walking distance of basically everything. What we loved most was how casual and balanced the itinerary felt. He booked us our must-see spots, like the Eiffel Tower, but left plenty of open time for us to just wander around, sit at sidewalk cafés, and actually enjoy being newlyweds without rushing from place to place. Michael made our dream honeymoon so easy and special. If you're planning a big trip, honestly, just let Michael handle it!
