About Me

Sahara Desert
Sahara Desert

Morocco is not just a destination I recommend — it is a country I have lived in, studied in, and experienced from the inside. Through studying abroad in Morocco and spending extended time living here, I have developed a deep, personal understanding of the country that goes far beyond surface-level tourism. This firsthand experience allows me to guide travelers with confidence, honesty, and insight, helping them experience Morocco in a way that feels both exciting and comfortable, immersing yet well supported.

Living in Morocco has given me a true appreciation for the rhythm of daily life, the nuances of culture, and the differences between regions that are not always obvious to first-time visitors. I have navigated cities independently, used local transportation, interacted with residents in everyday settings, and learned how Morocco functions beyond curated tour experiences. This background has allowed me to design trips that anticipate common challenges, respect cultural norms, and feel realistic rather than rushed or overwhelming.

Morocco is a country of contrasts, where ancient traditions coexist with modern life. Bustling medinas sit beside contemporary neighborhoods, centuries-old architecture frames lively cafés, and desert landscapes are only hours away from coastal towns. One of my strengths as a travel advisor is helping travelers understand these contrasts and plan an itinerary that flows naturally, without trying to see too much too quickly. Living in Morocco allowed me to truly absorb the country’s unhurried way of life, and I enjoy helping travelers experience it at a pace that encourages curiosity, connection, and discovery while aligning with the rhythm of the culture.

Marrakech is often the first city travelers think of when imagining Morocco, and for good reason. With its vibrant souks, historic palaces, lush gardens, and energetic Jemaa el-Fna square, Marrakech is an unforgettable introduction to the country. Through my time in Morocco, I have learned how to navigate Marrakech beyond the tourist hot spots — understanding which neighborhoods feel most authentic, how to balance guided experiences with free exploration, and when to step away from the crowds.

If a busy city isn’t what you imagine your trip to be, a camping excursion in the Sahara Desert is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I recommend for anyone traveling to Morocco. With the glowing dunes, traditional music with the locals, and campfires under the night sky of endless stargazing, this will become the emotional highlight of your entire Moroccan vacation. Not only is it a getaway from modern distractions, but it also allows travelers to reflect, experience peace, and engage with their senses in a luxurious camp setting.

Tangier is a city shaped by movement and exchange, sitting at the crossroads of Africa and Europe where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean. Its relaxed medina, coastal cafés, and whitewashed streets offer a calmer, more reflective atmosphere than many of Morocco’s larger cities. With a blend of Moroccan tradition and international influence, Tangier provides travelers with cultural depth, scenic beauty, and a sense of transition that makes it an ideal beginning or ending point for a Moroccan journey.

Chefchaouen, the famous blue city of Morocco, is also a must-see when visiting the north. Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains, is known for its striking blue-washed streets and peaceful atmosphere. Slower-paced and more intimate than Morocco’s major cities, it invites travelers to wander, observe, and connect with local life. With its mountain setting, artisan shops, and relaxed rhythm, Chefchaouen offers a refreshing contrast and a sense of calm that makes it a memorable stop in northern Morocco.

What sets me apart as a travel advisor is my ability to translate lived experience into practical guidance. I help travelers understand what to expect culturally, how to dress comfortably and respectfully, how to interact with locals, and how to move through cities with confidence. I can address concerns honestly and realistically. Rather than relying on stereotypes or marketing language, I offer clear advice based on real experience, helping travelers feel prepared rather than intimidated.

My role as a travel advisor is not just to plan logistics, but to act as a bridge between cultures. I help travelers engage with Morocco thoughtfully, whether that means understanding local customs, appreciating regional differences, or approaching new experiences with openness and respect.

Choosing a travel advisor who knows Morocco from personal experience can make all the difference. I bring insight gained from living here, navigating the cities firsthand, and understanding the rhythm of everyday life. This allows me to offer personalized itineraries that are practical, helping travelers experience Morocco not just as visitors, but as engaged and informed guests.

My Story of Travel

My love of travel started when I was about 17 years old, my dad took on the challenge of running 50 marathons in all 50 states. He invited me to be his designated travel partner, and since then, I have seen 36 out of the 50 states, including Alaska and Hawaii.  In 2019, I went off to college and wasn’t able to travel to the remaining stat...
