DESTINATIONS VISITED:Alaska, At Sea, British Columbia
PLACES VISITED:Anchorage, College Fjord, Glacier Bay, Juneau, Ketchikan, Pacific Ocean, Skagway, Vancouver, Whittier
SUGGESTED DURATION:8 Days
Our family is taking this exact itinerary this summer, so I’m going through it right along with you!
Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway are all incredible stops, but the difference is having the time to actually enjoy them.
You’re not being rushed. You can explore, take in the scenery, and choose what matters most to you.
A lot of Alaska itineraries look the same on paper. They’re not.
I help you figure out what’s worth your time, which excursions are actually good, and how to avoid the crowds so you don’t miss the best parts.
I’ve studied Alaska, done the research, completed the Alaska boot camp, and I’m ready to help you plan a trip that actually makes sense and feels worth it.

DAY1
Vancouver
Close Day
Day 1 • Vancouver (Departure)
Easy start. Vancouver is a great sail-away, grab a spot on deck if you can, it’s one of those departures you’ll actually want to watch.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Sail-Away Views | Skyline | Outdoor Deck Time
DAY2
Alaska
-
Pacific Ocean
Close Day
Day 2 • At Sea
Take a breath day. Get familiar with the ship, find your favorite spots, and just settle in before Alaska really starts to show off.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Relax | Explore the Ship | Settle In
DAY3
Alaska
-
Ketchikan
Close Day
Day 3 • Ketchikan
Shorter port day, so this is one where having a plan helps. Ketchikan has a lot of personality, local culture, totem poles, and some really unique excursions tied to Alaska’s fishing history. It’s not a place to just wander without a little direction.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Totem Poles | Local Culture | Fishing Heritage
DAY4
Alaska
-
Juneau
Close Day
Day 4 • Juneau
This is a big day with lots of options. Wildlife is a big draw here, especially out on the water, and you have the time to do more than one thing if you plan it right.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Whale Watching | Glaciers | Mountain Views
DAY5
Alaska
-
Skagway
Close Day
Day 4 • Skagway
One of my favorite stops on this itinerary. It still feels tied to the Gold Rush days, and there are some really scenic ways to experience it beyond just walking around town. This is a good place to do something a little more memorable.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Scenic Railway | Gold Rush History | Mountain Views
DAY6
Alaska
-
Glacier Bay
Close Day
Day 6 • Glacier Bay (Scenic Cruising)
This is one of those days you don’t want to miss. Be out on deck, grab a warm drink, and just take it in. It’s quiet, it’s massive, and it’s something you don’t really experience anywhere else.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Tidewater Glaciers | Wildlife Spotting | Park Rangers Onboard
DAY7
Alaska
-
College Fjord
Close Day
Day 7 • College Fjord (Scenic Cruising)
Different feel than Glacier Bay, but just as beautiful. Evening light can be incredible here, so it’s worth stepping away for a bit to take a look.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Glacier Views | Evening Light | Quiet Cruising
DAY8
Alaska
-
Whittier
-
Anchorage
Close Day
Day 8 • Anchorage (Whittier)
Arrival comes early, so most people are off the ship first thing in the morning. From here, you’ve got options, head straight home or build in a little extra Alaska time inland.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Easy Disembarkation | Maybe Extend Your Trip?
FINAL THOUGHTS
Good itinerary. Better with the right plan behind it. That’s what I do.
If you’ve read this far, you’ve probably hit decision fatigue. I get it, that’s exactly why I do this. Let me help you plan your trip so it can actually feel like a vacation.
