Horseshoe Bay Beach famous for pink sand clear turquoise water. Has a snack bar, restrooms and changing rooms for your comfort. I enjoy many beach parties there! Which makes it an idea spot for girls' trip beach party! If the ladies prefer a spot more quiet we can take a short drive to the beaches in Somerset. After relaxing on beach the ladies can put their dancing shoes on and take a taxi to Hamilton to sample the night clubs and maybe have a bite to eat at the wide variety restaurants!
Hamilton is the capital city of Bermuda. There's a port for smaller cruise ship in the center of town. The main port is in Royal Dockyard on the western tip of island. Kings Wharf and Heritage Wharf are located there. Dockyard was the site of a prison but now has restaurants, shops and sights for the tourist and passengers disembarking from the ships. Shop for a pair of Bermuda shorts, a traditional attire that is worn as business wear and casual. The iconic Goslings Rum an be package and sent to your ship or airline for transport back home. It makes a great "Dark and Stormy" just pick up some ginger beer to complete cocktail.
Time for some family activities! Take the family to Crystal or Fantasy Caves to see the stalactites, stalagmites and under ground lakes. These caves where found by some young boys while out playing and exploring! Climb 185 steps in the top in Gibbs Hill lighthouse, dating back to 1835. View a stunning 360-degree view of the islands' coastline. The family will be dazzle to see the underwater world on a glass bottom boat tour. Visit one of the oldest aquarium, established in 1926, with over 200 species of fish and marine invertebrates native to Bermuda coastal waters. Set on 7 acre waterfront, a zoo is also located on site.
On my first trip to Bermuda I rented a scooter to tour the island but you can also use the ferry or bus. Taxis can be rented for tours and they have small vans that can accommodate a family. Top your trip off with a island favorite "rum punch" at the famous Swizzle Inn.
Water activities are very popular on the island but of as it should be with since its surrounded by water! Day cruise would be an excellent choice for a group. A bar and food would be supplied and folks could leisurely cruise around the island while taking in the beautiful sights. There are all sizes of boats to accommodate groups and families of all sizes. Your also able to rent jet skis, kayaks, paddle boats and motor boats to indulge your own water sports. Speaking of water transportation, Bermuda has an intensive ferry systems which has many docks located in area near the attractions tourist want to see.
After living there for several years..I can help you plan the best vacation! Give me a call or email to start planning your next vacation.
