About Me

UK Travel Specialist

Greetings. I specialize in travel and adventure throughout the United Kingdom.

As a veteran I have traveled much of the US and a few foreign lands. And I have found my favorite destination to be the United Kingdom. Visiting the UK is a true experience in itself. I like to help those who also want to get a true experience of the UK and its culture, just as I have.

I have always been particularly interested in British culture since childhood and have been there to experience it firsthand. With this experience, I will help you design a most adventurous, enjoyable, and satisfying journey...down to the last detail. I will help you make your travel plans simple.

When I'm in the UK most of my time is spent in the town of Llanelli, Wales where I enjoy the company of good friends. It's one of the friendliest places I've ever been. And it's full of its own unique history and culture.

Allow me to assist you with planning your next trip or adventure to the UK so you can have a lifelong and unforgettable experience. I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers.

The Swansea Castle

Swansea Castle, Swansea, Wales, UK
Swansea Castle, Swansea, Wales, UK

My fascination with castles started back in my school days. Learning about knights and the castles they battled over was very interesting to me. My teachers had my undivided attention. The United Kingdom has over 4000 castles. Though most are just ruins reduced to mounds of rubble and only remain as remnants, there are still hundreds standing. This castle in particular is one of my favorites. The original castle on this site was built of wood in the year 1066 and there is no longer anything left of it but memories. The standing castle was the first one built of stone and they started building it in 1290. It's the oldest standing structure in Swansea, Wales.

    The end of the Adventure

The UK Adventure - Day 8 - Part Two

The flight from London to New York was uneventful and right on schedule. I was about to start the final leg of this trip and I was starting to get kind of sad that it was all almost over. Just one more connecting flight to my home airport and I'd be finished traveling. I should be home by mid afternoon. Plenty o...

The UK Adventure - Day 8 - Part One

The morning started early. After one final inspection of the room to make sure I wasn't going to leave anything behind I checked out of the hotel and made the short brisk walk to Paddington Station. From there I jumped onto the Heathrow Express for the quick train ride to the airport. Once at Heathrow Ai...

The UK Adventure - Day 7 - Part Two

The train ride from Portsmouth to London was the last big trip on this adventure. Unlike the high speed train into Wales this was a regional line that moved at a slower pace and it gave me one last good look at the beautiful English countryside. There are a lot of interesting and picturesque sce...

The UK Adventure - Day 7 - Part One

I woke up just as the Sun started lighting up the sky. The plan is to catch The Underground from Paddington Station to King's Cross St Pancras Station. From there I will be going to Portsmouth, England via South Western Railway (SWR). This is the destination whe...

The UK Adventure - Day 6 - Part Two

One can easily be awestruck by the beauty of St James's Park. There were quite a few very colorful..or should I say colourful..gardens, some pretty powerful looking trees, two beautiful fountains, and a pond with swans and ducks. I had a seat on one of the benches in front of the pond to watch nature swim by as I took a rest. Af...
