Travel is deeply personal. It carries expectations, emotions, and often significant financial investment.

My Planning Philosophy

Over time, I’ve learned that what travelers want most is not unlimited options, but informed guidance. They want someone who listens carefully, understands how pieces connect, and can confidently say, “This will work, and here’s why.” My planning process is grounded in listening first. Before I design an itinerary, I want to understand how my clients move through the world. I think about how travel unfolds in real conditions, not just how it looks on paper. When details are handled correctly early on, travel feels light, like a feather. When they are not, even beautiful destinations can feel heavy.

Honeymoon Planning

Honeymoons deserve particular care. I approach honeymoon planning with a balance of romance and realism. I consider pacing, privacy, transitions, and how much structure or flexibility a couple will actually enjoy. I guide couples through decisions without overwhelming them, helping them prioritize what matters most while protecting the experience from unnecessary stress. Whether a honeymoon involves a single destination or multiple countries, my focus is always the same: to create space for connection, rest, and joy — without logistical friction pulling attention away from the moment.

Cruise Expertise

Cruising is one of the most effective ways to experience international travel, and it is a core area of my work. I plan both ocean and river cruises and help clients navigate the wide differences between cruise lines, ships, and itineraries. Not all cruises feel the same, and I am intentional about matching travelers with the right fit.

I manage international flights, pre- and post-cruise stays, transfers, documentation requirements, and insurance considerations. I also help clients understand embarkation, disembarkation, and shore experiences so they feel prepared rather than rushed. When done well, cruising offers both efficiency and depth. My role is to make sure clients experience the benefits without the confusion.

Custom International Travel

I design custom international itineraries for travelers who want a more tailored experience than a single-destination trip can provide. These itineraries often involve multiple cities or countries and require careful sequencing to maintain balance and flow. Arrival times, hotel location, transfer quality, and regional travel norms all affect how a trip feels on the ground. I work closely with trusted partners to coordinate accommodations, transportation, and experiences that align with my clients’ expectations.

I also guide clients through the less visible aspects of international travel: documentation, entry requirements, insurance, variations in currency, and contingency planning. My goal is not just to design a beautiful itinerary, but to make sure it functions smoothly in practice.

Corporate and Personal International Travel

In addition to leisure travel, I support professionals who need reliable, well-managed international travel. I design itineraries that respect time constraints while accounting for the realities of international movement.

I also assist clients who blend business and personal travel, ensuring that extensions or personal segments integrate smoothly without compromising professional responsibilities. In these cases, my value lies in reducing cognitive load. When travel is managed properly, clients are free to focus on their work or their experience, knowing the details are being handled with care.

Domestic Travel

While my primary focus is international travel and cruises, I also plan domestic travel when professional oversight adds value. This includes complex itineraries, milestone trips, theme parks, and situations where timing, coordination, or accountability matter. Domestic travel can be deceptively complex. When it is, I apply the same standards and attention I bring to international planning.

How I Work With Clients

I work best with clients who value preparation, clear communication, and thoughtful decision-making. My clients often tell me they appreciate my calm presence and my ability to bring order to what initially feels overwhelming. I am transparent about how I work and what I offer.

I am a fit for travelers who want confidence, continuity, and a professional advocate throughout the process. I see my role as a long-term relationship, not a one-time transaction.

Featherlight, In Practice

The name Featherlight Travel reflects how I want my clients to feel — not just during their trip, but throughout the planning process. Behind that ease is structure, discipline, and accountability. I carry the weight of the details so my clients do not have to.

I plan carefully. I communicate clearly. I advocate consistently. And I take responsibility for the work I do. That is what Featherlight means to me.

Planned with Care. Travel with Ease.

Planned With Care, Traveled With Ease

Careful planning is not something travelers usually notice when it is done well — and that is exactly the point. When travel unfolds smoothly, when transitions feel natural, and when moments have space to breathe, it is rarely accidental. It is the result of thoughtful decisions made long before a suitcase is packed.

I am deeply detail-oriented in how I plan travel, not because I enjoy complexity for its own sake, but because details are what determine whether a trip feels effortless or exhausting. I focus on how people actually move through a journey, not just how an itinerary appears on paper.

Last minute Orlando trip

Feather helped us book a flight, a car, lodging, and event tickets, all with less than 48 hours notice. We had an opening on our schedule and snuck down to Orlando to visit Universal Studios Volcano Bay. She made the trip effortless and highly enjoyable.

My Travel Stories

Naples at Dawn

Mediterranean in the Off-Season

There is something almost sacred about seeing Italy in December. Not rushed. Not overheated. Not overtaken by crowds. In December of 2025, I boarded the elegant Viking Saturn in Rome and sailed east toward Athens. What unfolded over the following days was not just a Mediterranean cruise — it was a study in color, culture, calm, and...
