About Me

Baku, Azerbaijan
Baku, Azerbaijan

There is a world of travel that exists beyond the familiar routes of Europe and the well-worn icons of global tourism, a world rich in history, resilience, and cultural depth.

At the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Azerbaijan, the Republic of Georgia, and the former Soviet republics of Central Asia invite curious travelers to explore destinations that are captivating, authentic, and profoundly memorable.Azerbaijan is a country shaped by ancient trade routes, empires, and modern ambition. Its capital, Baku, sits dramatically along the Caspian Sea, where sleek contemporary architecture, most famously the Flame Towers, stands alongside centuries-old stone walls and historic mosques. The UNESCO-listed Old City tells stories of Persian, Ottoman, Russian, and Soviet influence, while wide boulevards and cultural institutions reflect a confident national identity. Baku is a city of contrast and character: traditional tea houses coexist with cutting-edge design, and local cuisine blends Middle Eastern, Turkic, and Caucasian flavors into something uniquely Azerbaijani. Though still largely undiscovered by mainstream travelers, Baku offers sophistication, safety, and a deeply rooted sense of pride that leaves a lasting impression.

Crossing the Caucasus Mountains brings travelers to Georgia, a country known for its warmth, history, and extraordinary sense of place. Tbilisi, the capital, is endlessly fascinating, an eclectic blend of ornate balconies, ancient churches, sulfur baths, and remnants of Soviet-era architecture. The city’s charm lies in its honesty and soul; it feels lived-in, creative, and welcoming. Georgia is also considered the birthplace of wine, with an 8,000-year-old wine making tradition that remains central to daily life. Long communal meals, heartfelt toasts, and generous hospitality are not performances for visitors, they are a way of life. What makes both Azerbaijan and Georgia especially compelling is how they balance their Soviet past with a renewed celebration of national identity. Elements of the former USSR remain visible in architecture, city planning, and cultural memory, yet these countries have emerged with confidence, honoring their languages, traditions, and customs with pride. This creates a travel experience that feels layered and real, one where history is not hidden, but thoughtfully integrated into the present.

Beyond the Caucasus, the former Soviet republics of Central Asia extend this spirit of discovery even further. Destinations such as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan reveal vast landscapes, ancient Silk Road cities, and nomadic traditions that have endured for centuries. Travelers encounter turquoise-tiled mosques, bustling bazaars, sweeping ????pe, and dramatic mountain ranges, often with very few crowds. These countries reward those willing to venture off the beaten path with experiences that feel deeply personal and culturally immersive.Though unfamiliar to many, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and their Central Asian neighbors are among the most exciting destinations available to travelers today. They offer a rare combination of history, culture, cuisine, and national character, untainted by over-tourism and rich in genuine human connection.

These are places where curiosity is rewarded, perspectives are broadened, and memories are forged through meaningful encounters rather than checklist sightseeing. For travelers seeking something truly different, destinations that inspire wonder, challenge expectations, and reveal a lesser-known side of the world, this region is not only worth exploring. It is waiting to be discovered and I am here to help you in that discovery journey.

Czech paradise
Reviewed By Martin L. - Nashville, TN | Traveled to Czech Republic | Europe
Jiri was great. He convinced us that Czech has more to offer than just Prague. He was right. He set up a trip for us that took us from Prague to Moravia (Olomouc) and all the way back to Karlovy Vary. Along the way we visited castles, churches, tasted authentic Moravian wine and famous Czech beer, enjoyed the spa treatments in Carlsbad and much more. Highly recommend it. Jiri truly knows the Czech Republic and every detail was prepared in a such a way that we were able to enjoy our time without worrying or stressing. 10 out of 10.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.
