About Me

Exploring Europe through the lens of World War II history is a profound and deeply moving journey, one that goes far beyond sightseeing. As a travel agent, I view this itinerary as an opportunity to help travelers understand the human stories, moral choices, and lasting consequences of one of history’s darkest chapters, while honoring the victims and heroes whose lives shaped the modern world. The journey often begins in Poland, where history feels especially close. In Kraków, visitors walk through a beautifully preserved city that once had a thriving Jewish community. Nearby stands Oskar Schindler’s Factory, now a powerful museum that tells the story of Nazi occupation and of Schindler himself, a complex figure who ultimately saved more than 1,200 Jews. The exhibits combine personal testimony, artifacts, and immersive storytelling, making the experience both educational and emotionally resonant. From Kraków, travelers visit Auschwitz and Birkenau, the most infamous Nazi concentration and extermination camps. These sites are preserved as memorials and museums, and guided visits are handled with solemn care and historical rigor. Walking through the barracks, railway platform, and ruins of gas chambers is confronting and unforgettable, offering an essential understanding of the scale and brutality of the Holocaust. In the Czech Republic, the story continues at Terezín (Theresienstadt), a ghetto and transit camp used by the Nazis as a propaganda tool. Here, visitors learn about the deception presented to the outside world and the grim reality endured by prisoners, including many artists, musicians, and children. Terezín provides crucial context to the mechanisms of Nazi control and manipulation.Back in Prague, the Jewish Quarter (Josefov) offers a quieter but equally powerful experience. Synagogues, the Old Jewish Cemetery, and exhibitions trace centuries of Jewish life, culminating in the devastation of World War II. This area emphasizes not only loss, but also cultural resilience and remembrance.Another deeply symbolic site is Lidice, the Czech village destroyed by the Nazis in retaliation for the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, one of the chief architects of the Holocaust. The assassination itself, carried out by Czech resistance fighters trained in Britain, was a turning point in resistance history. Lidice today is a memorial landscape, its silence underscoring the cost of defiance and the cruelty of collective punishment. In Germany, Nuremberg provides insight into both Nazi propaganda and post-war justice. Visitors see the massive rally grounds designed to glorify Hitler’s regime, followed by the Palace of Justice, where the Nuremberg Trials established precedents for prosecuting war crimes and crimes against humanity. The contrast between these sites powerfully illustrates Europe’s reckoning with its past. This itinerary is not about comfort, it is about understanding. With expert guides, respectful pacing, and thoughtful preparation, travelers gain historical clarity, emotional depth, and a renewed commitment to remembrance. These places remind us why history must be preserved, taught, and confronted so that the lessons of World War II are never forgotten.

Czech paradise
Reviewed By Martin L. - Nashville, TN | Traveled to Czech Republic | Europe
Jiri was great. He convinced us that Czech has more to offer than just Prague. He was right. He set up a trip for us that took us from Prague to Moravia (Olomouc) and all the way back to Karlovy Vary. Along the way we visited castles, churches, tasted authentic Moravian wine and famous Czech beer, enjoyed the spa treatments in Carlsbad and much more. Highly recommend it. Jiri truly knows the Czech Republic and every detail was prepared in a such a way that we were able to enjoy our time without worrying or stressing. 10 out of 10.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.
