I was born and raised in the heart of New York City, but my spirit was shaped by the childhood summers I spent in the Dominican Republic visiting my dad. As a first-generation Dominican-American, I grew up navigating the 1 train and the streets of Washington Heights, but my true education happened while exploring my parents' homeland. These annual visits to my father’s homes either in "La Ciudad Corazón" or in the Valverde province offered an authentic immersion into Dominican life that standard tourism rarely captures.

From childhood visits to see family in various towns in the island to my adult journeys uncovering the island's most rugged peaks and pristine shores, I’ve seen a version of the DR that the tourist brochures can’t capture. I don't just book 'vacations'; I design bespoke cultural immersions for the traveler who wants to feel the heartbeat of the island.

In 2026, luxury is personal. I use my dual heritage to craft itineraries that balance high-end comfort with raw adventure:

The Untouched DR: Private expeditions to the Damajagua Waterfalls or the lush jungles of Samaná.

Culinary Heritage/Heartland Roots: From the best family-owned comedores in the countryside to fine dining at Casa de Campo. Growing up with the iconic Monumento a los Héroes de la Restauración in Santiago and the agricultural traditions of Mao shaped my early understanding of Dominicanidad.

Cibao Family Roots/Deep Connection: The journey continued through my mother’s family areas in Moca (Espaillat province) and Salcedo, offering intimate insights into everyday Dominican life. Itineraries that prioritize ancestral stories and community-led tours over cookie-cutter resorts. Truly experiencing farm to table as a child in the 70s and 80s. 

Northern Coast: Explored the historic streets and beaches of Puerto Plata, as well as the secluded natural beauty of Mamey.

Pristine Escapes: Experienced the turquoise waters of Punta Cana and the lush, untamed landscapes of the Samaná peninsula. 

Cultural Hubs: Visited Santo Domingo, the capital, to walk its Colonial Zone, and La Vega, famous for its vibrant Carnival traditions. 

For me, traveling to the Dominican Republic is more than a vacation; it is a recurring journey of reconnection to my roots, family, and the vibrant culture of my ancestors.
