I’m Michael Czawlytko. I’m an independent travel advisor hosted by Cornerstone Travel, based in North Texas, and working with clients all over the U.S.
Most of the people who find their way to me are families, first responders, veterans, or busy professionals who don’t have the time (or patience) to live in twenty browser tabs trying to plan a trip. I know that feeling. Between work, kids, and life in general, travel planning can jump from “fun idea” to “one more thing on the to-do list” pretty fast.
I’m a veteran, a first responder, and a dad to three boys. I’ve juggled school calendars, game schedules, band events, overtime shifts, and military orders while trying to carve out a few days away. I’ve dealt with leave dates that moved, flights that didn’t cooperate, and trips that had to balance work on one end and actual rest on the other. That mix of real-world chaos is what shaped how I plan travel for other people.
When we work together, I’m not trying to sell you a dream trip you’d see in an ad. I want to understand what will actually work for you. Who’s going? When you can realistically travel. What are you hoping the trip will do for you? Catch your breath, reconnect with your kids, celebrate something, or just get out of your usual routine for a bit.
From there, my job is to sort through the noise and come back with options that make sense for your time, budget, and comfort level. I pay attention to the small stuff: how long your layovers are, whether arrival times make sense with kids in tow, how tight your schedule feels once everything is on the calendar. I’d rather catch problems on a screen than have you discover them at the airport.
I’m mostly focused on leisure travel, family trips, getaways, that kind of thing, but I’m also comfortable helping with professional travel, especially when you want to tack on a day or two to actually relax. I like trips that aren’t just “go, go, go” the whole time. If we can build in some breathing room so you don’t come home more tired than when you left, that’s a win.
My background as a first responder means I’m used to reading details carefully, explaining things in plain language, and keeping a level head when plans change. Those habits come with me into travel planning. You’ll know what’s booked, what’s coming up next, and what needs your attention, without having to dig for it.
Outside of travel, most of my life revolves around my three boys. I’m on the sidelines or in the stands for football, baseball, and band. I’m also into photography and spending time outdoors. All of that reminds me why time away matters; sometimes you just need a change of scenery and a few days where the schedule looks different.
If you’re considering a trip and aren’t sure where to start, I’d be happy to discuss it with you. You don’t have to have every detail figured out. A rough idea of who, when, and what you’re hoping for is enough to begin, and we can build the rest step by step.
How Does My Process Work?
Here’s roughly how the process usually goes:1. We have a quick conversation (or you fill out a short form) about who’s traveling, when you’d like to go, your budget range, and what you want the trip to feel like.2. I put together options that fit what we talked about; nothing fancy, just clear choices you can compare.3. We adjust what doesn’t feel right, then I handle the key bookings and keep an eye on the moving parts.
